A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) Open the forward cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the opening of the forward cargo-compartment door.
   (4) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the control panel of the forward cargo loading system to tell persons not to use it.
   (5) Set the light switch to on.

C. Get Access
   (1) Remove the related forward cargo compartment ceiling panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-002).
   (2) Remove the forward cargo-compartment door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-18-000-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 25-54-12-020-057-A
A. Removal of the Cylinder Fairings
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
   (1) Remove the screw (18) and the washer (19) from the cylinder fairing (1) and remove the clamp (20), the spacer (17), the clamp (16) and the spacer (15).
   (2) Cut and remove the tie wraps (22) from the wires (10) and (21) and the clamp (23).
   (3) Disconnect the connector (14) from the receptacle (13).
   (4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR(S) IS(ARE) DISCONNECTED BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE BONDING STRAP(S).
   (5) Remove the screw (27), the washers (25), the bonding straps (26) and the nut (24).
   (6) Attach the wiring harness (21) to the forward cargo-compartment door with the TAPE - ADHESIVE.
   (7) Remove the screws (11) from the connector panel (9).
   (8) Loosen the union nut (32) and disconnect the pipe (31) from the pipe (35).
   (9) Install the PLUG - BLANKING in the union nut (32).
   (10) Remove the lock nut (33) and the washer (34) from the pipe (35).
   (11) Install the CAP - BLANKING on the line end-fitting of the pipe (35).
   (12) Remove the screws (3), (4), (5) and (6) and the washers (2).
   (13) Remove the deflectors (7).
   (14) Hold the cylinder fairings (1) in position and remove the screws (8) and the washers (2).
   (15) Move the connector panel (9) and the wiring harness (10) through the access hole (12) while you carefully lower the cylinder fairing (1).
   (16) Remove the cylinder fairings (1).
   (17) Put a LOCALLY MANUFACTURED - BLANKING CAP on hydraulic pipe (35).
