A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the forward and/or aft cargo-compartment door is opened (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the opening of the applicable cargo compartment door.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position at the applicable control panel of the cargo loading system.
(4) Make sure that the floor panels are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-000-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-14-000-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 25-52-34-910-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Remove the unwanted sealant from the roller track with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) , Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and a SCRAPER - WOODEN or SCRAPER - PLASTIC
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the thread of the screws.

B. Installation of XZ-Single Latch and the Proximity Switch

XZ-Single Latch 32 and Proximity Switch ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Put the seal (5) in its correct installation position.
(2) Install the proximity switch (6):
(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(c) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) and a Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the mating surfaces of the proximity switch (6) and roller track (3).
(d) Connect the electrical connector (4) to the proximity switch (6).
(e) Put the proximity switch (6) in its correct installation position in the roller track (3).
(f) Install the the washers (7) and the bolts (8).
(g) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) to the bonding bolt of the proximity switch (6).
(h) Apply Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) to the material applied to the bonding bolt of the proximity switch (6).
(i) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to the other bolt of the proximity switch (6).
(3) Install the XZ-single latch (2):
(a) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) to the mating surfaces of the XZ-single latch (2).
(b) Put the XZ-single latch (2) in its installation position in the roller track (3).
(c) Use the screws (1) to move the pins (9) out of the slots, then engage the XZ-single latch (2) in the holes of the roller track (3).
(d) Tighten the screws (1).

C. Preparation for the Test
(1) For the forward cargo compartment:
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(b) Lower the YZ-latch on each door sill latch of the forward cargo compartment. Electrical power is available on control panel 2020VU1.
(c) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) For the aft cargo compartment:
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(b) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

E. Test of the Proximity Switch in the Forward Cargo Compartment

Set POWER ON/OFF switch 5MY to ON.	POWER ON/OFF indicator light 7MY comes on. Power is supplied to the cargo conveyance controls.
2.On the cargo compartment floor:	On the cargo compartment floor:
Lift the latch element of each XZ-single latch 32.	Each latch element locks in the lifted position. NOTE: The XZ-single latches 32 do not operate the longitudinal Power Drive Unit (PDU) in the ball mat area.
3.On control panel 2020VU1:	On the cargo compartment floor:
Push joystick 4MY to the FWD position and hold it.	The PDU related to the XZ-single latches 32 do not operate. The longitudinal PDU in the ball mat area operates in the forward direction.
Release joystick 4MY.	The longitudinal PDU in the ball mat area stops.
Push joystick 4MY to the AFT position and hold it.	The PDU related to the XZ-single latches 32 do not operate. The longitudinal PDU in the ball mat area operates in the aft direction.
Release joystick 4MY.	The longitudinal PDU in the ball mat area stops.
4.On the cargo compartment floor:	On the cargo compartment floor:
Lower the lifted latch element of the XZ-single latch 32 at FR31.	The latch element lowers below the level of the roller track.

Push joystick 4MY to the FWD position and hold it.	The PDU related to the XZ-single latch with the lowered latch element operates in the forward direction. The longitudinal PDU in the ball mat area operates in the forward direction.

Lift the latch element of the XZ-single latch 32 at the FR31.	The latch element locks in the lifted position and the power supply to the related PDU is stopped.

(2) Install the floor panels (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-400-001) and/or (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-14-400-001).
(3) Close the forward and/or aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
