Subtask 53-42-14-860-050-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position adjacent to the AFT cargo-compartment door.
(2) Make sure that the aft cargo-compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the AFT CARGO COMPT light switch 8LU is set to ON.
Subtask 53-42-14-110-052-A (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position adjacent to the AFT cargo-compartment door.
(2) Make sure that the aft cargo-compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the AFT CARGO COMPT light switch 8LU is set to ON.
B. Cleaning Procedure
(2) Clean the component interface and the adjacent area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) . Make sure that the area is dry before you continue.
4. ProcedureWARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(1) Remove all the remaining sealant from the floor panels with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC. (2) Clean the component interface and the adjacent area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) . Make sure that the area is dry before you continue.
Subtask 53-42-14-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Aft Cargo-Compartment Floor-Panels
(1) Make sure that you removed the peel ply from the aft cargo-compartment floor-panels (1) before the installation.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do a visual inspection of the aft cargo-compartment floor-panels (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-50-00-200-002).
(4) For each aft cargo-compartment floor-panel (1) which has adhesive tapes (10) that are not in the correct condition:
(a) Remove the adhesive tapes (10) from the aft cargo-compartment floor-panel (1).
(b) Discard the adhesive tapes (10).
(c) Clean the areas from which you removed the adhesive tapes (10) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(d) Apply the new Sealing Profile-- Silicone Foam - (Material No.14JAB1) (10) or the new Sealing Profile-Seat Rail Self Adhesive - I shape (Material No.14JMB1) (10) on the aft cargo-compartment floor-panel (1).
(7) Put the aft cargo-compartment floor-panels (1) and, if necessary, the section hoses (6), (7), (8) and (9) in position as follows:
(a) Make sure that the section hoses (6), (7), (8) and (9) are in the correct condition.
(b) If they are not, clean them to remove the dust and the dirt before the installation.
(c) Put the section hoses (6), (7), (8) and (9) in position. For this, refer to the identification marks made during the removal procedure.
(8) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) in the holes at the end of each section hose to a minimum distance of 40 mm (1.5748 in.) from the edge of the section hose.
(9) Make sure that all the section hoses are flush with each other.
(10) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) on the screws (5).
(11) Install the screws (5) and, if applicable, the washers (2) and the nuts (3). For this, refer to the identification marks made during the removal procedure.
(12) TORQUE the screws (5) and, if applicable, the nuts (3) to between 0.42 and 0.37 m.daN (37.17 and 32.74 lbf.in )
.
(13) If necessary, apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) on the nuts (3).
(14) If necessary, let the sealant cure.
(15) If necessary, apply one or more protective layer(s) of Coating-- Corrosion Inhibiting Fastener Head Protection (Material No.04QAC5) or Primer Polyurethane Paint_- Corrosion Inhibiting Structure (Material No.04EAC2) and Top Coat Polyurethane_- Grey Internal Structure (Material No.04JME4) on:

(19) Make a loop at the two ends of the cord (4).
Subtask 53-42-14-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that you removed the peel ply from the aft cargo-compartment floor-panels (1) before the installation.

(d) Apply the new Sealing Profile-- Silicone Foam - (Material No.14JAB1) (10) or the new Sealing Profile-Seat Rail Self Adhesive - I shape (Material No.14JMB1) (10) on the aft cargo-compartment floor-panel (1).
NOTE: The removal of the Sealing Profile-Seat Rail Self Adhesive - I shape (Material No.14JMB1) is easy.
NOTE: Airbus recommends that you use the same adhesive tape (10) for all the aft cargo-compartment floor-panels (1).
NOTE: Airbus recommends that you use the same adhesive tape (10) for all the edges of each aft cargo-compartment floor-panel (1).
(5) If necessary, apply the new Double Sided Adhesive Tape-Floor panel height compensation Silicone - (Material No.05PBD1) on the aft cargo-compartment floor-panels (1).NOTE: This keeps the offset between the adjacent aft cargo-compartment floor-panels to a minimum.
(6) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.(7) Put the aft cargo-compartment floor-panels (1) and, if necessary, the section hoses (6), (7), (8) and (9) in position as follows:
(a) Make sure that the section hoses (6), (7), (8) and (9) are in the correct condition.
(b) If they are not, clean them to remove the dust and the dirt before the installation.
(c) Put the section hoses (6), (7), (8) and (9) in position. For this, refer to the identification marks made during the removal procedure.
(8) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) in the holes at the end of each section hose to a minimum distance of 40 mm (1.5748 in.) from the edge of the section hose.

- The nuts (3), and
- The protruding threads of the screws (5).
(17) Make sure that the two ends of the cord (4) come out:
- Approximately 100.0 mm (3.9370 in.) between the sloped aft-cargo-compartment floor-panels (1)
- Approximately 200.0 mm (7.8740 in.) between the flat aft-cargo-compartment floor-panels (1).
(19) Make a loop at the two ends of the cord (4).
NOTE: This will make the subsequent removal procedure easier.
A. Installation of the Aft Cargo-Compartment Floor-Panels
(1) Make sure that you removed the peel ply from the aft cargo-compartment floor-panels (1) before the installation.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do a visual inspection of the aft cargo-compartment floor-panels (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-50-00-200-002).
(4) For each aft cargo-compartment floor-panel (1) which has adhesive tapes (12) that are not in the correct condition:
(a) Remove the adhesive tapes (12) from the aft cargo-compartment floor-panel (1).
(b) Discard the adhesive tapes (12).
(c) Clean the areas from which you removed the adhesive tapes (12) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(d) Apply the new Sealing Profile-- Silicone Foam - (Material No.14JAB1) (12) or the new Sealing Profile-Seat Rail Self Adhesive - I shape (Material No.14JMB1) (12) on the aft cargo-compartment floor-panel (1).
(7) Put the aft cargo-compartment floor-panels (1) and, if necessary, the section hoses (6), (7), (8) and (9) in position as follows:
(a) Make sure that the section hoses (6), (7), (8) and (9) are in the correct condition.
(b) If they are not, clean them to remove the dust and the dirt before the installation.
(c) Put the section hoses (6), (7), (8) and (9) in position. For this, refer to the identification marks made during the removal procedure.
(8) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) in the holes at the end of each section hose to a minimum distance of 40 mm (1.5748 in.) from the edge of the section hose.
(9) Make sure that all the section hoses are flush with each other.
(10) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) on the screws (5).

(4) For each aft cargo-compartment floor-panel (1) which has adhesive tapes (12) that are not in the correct condition:
(a) Remove the adhesive tapes (12) from the aft cargo-compartment floor-panel (1).
(b) Discard the adhesive tapes (12).
(c) Clean the areas from which you removed the adhesive tapes (12) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(d) Apply the new Sealing Profile-- Silicone Foam - (Material No.14JAB1) (12) or the new Sealing Profile-Seat Rail Self Adhesive - I shape (Material No.14JMB1) (12) on the aft cargo-compartment floor-panel (1).
NOTE: The removal of the Sealing Profile-Seat Rail Self Adhesive - I shape (Material No.14JMB1) is easy.
NOTE: Airbus recommends that you use the same adhesive tape (12) for all the aft cargo-compartment floor-panels (1).

(5) If necessary, apply the new Double Sided Adhesive Tape-Floor panel height compensation Silicone - (Material No.05PBD1) on the aft cargo-compartment floor-panels (1).NOTE: This keeps the offset between the adjacent aft cargo-compartment floor-panels to a minimum.

(19) Make a loop at the two ends of the cord (4).
NOTE: This will make the subsequent removal procedure easier.
Subtask 53-42-14-410-050-A
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the carpet, if removed (Ref. AMM D/O 25-52-12-40).
(3) Set the AFT CARGO COMPT light switch 8LU to OFF.
(4) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
Subtask 53-42-14-862-050-A (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the carpet, if removed (Ref. AMM D/O 25-52-12-40).
(3) Set the AFT CARGO COMPT light switch 8LU to OFF.
(4) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
