A. Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Identification of the Damage Limits
   (1) The minimum distance between the damage and the latches or hinges must be more than 200 mm (7.87 in.).
   (2) Identification of the Damage Limits for Component:
  • Type A, polyphenylsulfon with halfsandwich (prepreg, honeycomb)
  • Type B, prepreg, honeycomb.
NOTE: This section gives the different damage types. If a damage does not agree with one of the five damage types, replace the component or speak to Airbus.
     (a) Damage type 1 (minor damage):
  • The maximum permitted diameter of the areas of damage is 10 mm (0.39 in.).
  • The maximum number of minor areas of damage on the panel is 10.
  • The maximum number of minor areas of damage in an area of 100 mm (3.94 in.) x 100 mm (3.94 in.) is 5.
  • The minimum distance between the areas of damage is more than 20 mm (0.79 in.).
     (b) Damage type 2 (crack in the surface):
  • The maximum length of the crack is 30 mm (1.18 in.).
  • The maximum number of areas of damage on the panel is 2.
  • The minimum distance between the areas of damage is more than 20 mm (0.79 in.).
  • The maximum damage size is 50% of the component area surface.
     (c) Damage type 3 (single or double-sided surface with honeycomb damage):
  • The maximum diameter of the areas of damage is 100 mm (3.94 in.).
  • The maximum number of areas of damage on the panel is 2.
  • The minimum distance between the areas of damage is more than 60 mm (2.36 in.).
     (d) Damage type 4 (single or double-sided surface with honeycomb damage in attachment point areas or edge areas):
  • The maximum diameter of the areas of damage is 100 mm (3.94 in.).
  • The maximum number of areas of damage on the panel is 2.
  • The minimum distance between the areas of damage is more than 60 mm (2.36 in.).
     (e) Damage type 5 (single or double-sided surface with honeycomb damage in corner areas):
  • The maximum diameter of the areas of damage is 100 mm (3.94 in.).
  • The maximum number of areas of damage on the panel is 2.
  • The minimum distance between the areas of damage is more than 60 mm (2.36 in.).
   (3) Identification of the Damage Limits for Component:
  • Type C, polycarbonate
  • Type D, prepreg
  • Type E, polyetherimide
  • Type F, polyphenylsulfone.
NOTE: This section gives the different damage types. If a damage does not agree with one of the two damage types, replace the component or speak to Airbus.
     (a) Damage type 1 (minor damage):
  • The maximum diameter of the areas of damage is 10 mm (0.39 in.).

C. Preparation
   (1) If necessary, remove the damaged door lining or door frame lining. Refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 25-23-00-00).
   (2) Carefully remove the decor layer from the damaged area:

Subtask 25-20-00-340-067-A
A. Repair of the Door Lining and Door-Frame Lining Component Type A and B
   (1) Clean the damaged area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (2) Damage type 1:
     (a) Use a SPATULA - NON METALLIC and apply Paste Adhesive-- Filler Furnishing (Material No.13FGE3) for component type A or Paste Adhesive-Polyester Filler - (Material No.13FCA1) for component type B to the surface of the repair area.
     (b) Let the filler cure.
   (3) Damage type 2:
     (a) Drill a hole with a diameter of approximately 5 mm (0.20 in.) at each end of the crack.
     (b) Use a SYRINGE to slowly fill the Laminating resin-Epoxy SRM Type 2 - (Material No.13EBC1) (2) through the crack into the honeycomb core.
     (c) Stop the syringe when the resin (2) comes out of the crack.
     (d) Remove the unwanted adhesive with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (e) Let the resin (2) cure.
     (f) Make the repair area smooth with a PAPER - ABRASIVE (GRADE 200) or finer.
     (g) Clean the damaged area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (h) Use a SPATULA - NON METALLIC and apply Paste Adhesive-- Filler Furnishing (Material No.13FGE3) (1) for component type A or Paste Adhesive-Polyester Filler - (Material No.13FCA1) (1) for component type B to the surface of the repair area.
     (i) Let the filler (1) cure.
   (4) Damage type 3:
     (a) Cut out the polyphenylsulfon or prepreg layer on the front side in the area of damage.
     (b) Cut out the prepreg layer on the rear side of the panel up to 25 mm (0.98 in.) over the edges of the damaged area.
     (c) Cut out the damaged honeycomb core up to 25 mm (0.98 in.) over the edges of the damaged area.
     (d) Clean the surface with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (e) Install a doubler in the repair area:
       1 For aluminium doubler for component type A and B:
  • Apply Polyurethane Adhesive-Equipment & Furnishing Two parts - (Material No.05FCE1) (2) for component type A or Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 1 (Material No.05EML9) (2) for component type B in the area of installation.
  • Install an ALUMINUM PLATE ABS 5044 (3).
       2 For glasscloth doubler for component type B:
  • Make sure that the minimum thickness of the new doubler has the thickness of the top layer which is used for this component.
  • Apply Laminating resin-Epoxy Fire compliant - (Material No.13EBK1) (2) in the area of installation.
  • Install a Dry glass fabric-4H Satin 293 gsm - 143 style - - (Material No.13ACA1) (3).
       3 For polyphenylsulfon doubler for component type A:
  • Make sure that the minimum thickness of the new doubler has the thickness of the top layer which is used for this component.
  • Apply Polyurethane Adhesive-Equipment & Furnishing Two parts - (Material No.05FCE1) (2) in the area of installation.
  • Install a DOUBLER IPS DAN 1291-02 (3).
     (f) Fill the space of the removed honeycomb core with Low density compound-Fire compliant Low temperature curing Furnishing (Material No.13GBB3) (1).
     (g) Install a doubler up to 25 mm (0.98 in.) on the repair area:
       1 For aluminium doubler for component type A and B:
  • Apply Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 1 (Material No.05EML9) (5) in the area of installation.
  • Install an ALUMINUM PLATE ABS 5044 (4).
       2 For glasscloth doubler for component type A and B:
  • Make sure that the minimum thickness of the new doubler has the thickness of the top layer which is used for this component.
  • Apply Laminating resin-Epoxy Fire compliant - (Material No.13EBK1) (5) in the area of installation.
  • Install the doubler Dry glass fabric-4H Satin 293 gsm - 143 style - - (Material No.13ACA1) (4).
     (h) Let the core filler (1) and adhesive (5) cure.
     (i) Clean the surface with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (j) Use a SPATULA - NON METALLIC and apply Paste Adhesive-- Filler Furnishing (Material No.13FGE3) (6) for component type A or Paste Adhesive-Polyester Filler - (Material No.13FCA1) (6) for component type B
     (k) Let the filler (6) cure.
   (5) Damage type 4:
     (a) Cut out the polyphenylsulfon or prepreg layer on the front side in the area of damage.
     (b) Cut out the prepreg layer on the rear side of the panel up to 25 mm (0.98 in.) over the edges of the damaged area.
     (c) Cut out the damaged honeycomb core up to 25 mm (0.98 in.) over the edges of the damaged area.
     (d) Clean the surface with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (e) Drill the hole with a diameter of approximately 5 mm (0.20 in.) for the attachment in the applicable attachment area.
     (f) Apply Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 1 (Material No.05EML9) (3) for the component type B or Polyurethane Adhesive-Equipment & Furnishing Two parts - (Material No.05FCE1) (3) for the component type A in the area of installation.
     (g) Install an ALUMINUM PLATE ABS 5044 (1) with a thickness of 0.6 mm (0.02 in.).
     (h) Let the adhesive (3) cure.
     (i) Use a SPATULA - NON METALLIC and apply Paste Adhesive-- Filler Furnishing (Material No.13FGE3) (2) for component type A or Paste Adhesive-Polyester Filler - (Material No.13FCA1) (2) for component type B.
     (j) Let the filler (2) cure.
   (6) Damage type 5:
     (a) Cut out the polyphenylsulfon or prepreg layer on the front side over the damaged area.
     (b) Cut out the prepreg layer on the rear side over the edges of the damaged area.
     (c) Cut out the damaged honeycomb core over the edges of the damaged area.
     (d) Clean the surface with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (e) Apply Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 1 (Material No.05EML9) ) (2) to the rear side of the panel up to 25 mm (0.98 in.) over the edges of the cut-out area.
     (f) Install an ALUMINUM ANGLE PLATE ABS 5044 (1).
     (g) Let the adhesive (2) cure.
     (h) Fill the space of the removed honeycomb core with Low density compound-Fire compliant Low temperature curing Furnishing (Material No.13GBB3) (3).
     (i) Let the core filler (3) cure.
     (j) Use a SPATULA - NON METALLIC and apply Paste Adhesive-- Filler Furnishing (Material No.13FGE3) (4) for the component type A or Paste Adhesive-Polyester Filler - (Material No.13FCA1) (4) for the component type B.
     (k) Let the core filler (4) cure.
   (7) Make the repair area smooth with a PAPER - ABRASIVE (GRADE 200) or finer.
   (8) Clean the surface with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
Subtask 25-20-00-340-068-A
B. Repair of the Door Lining and Door-Frame Lining Component Type C, D, E and F
   (1) Clean the damaged area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (2) Damage type 1:
     (a) Use a SPATULA - NON METALLIC and apply Paste Adhesive-- Filler Furnishing (Material No.13FGE3) for component type C, E and F or Paste Adhesive-Polyester Filler - (Material No.13FCA1) for component type D to the surface of the repair area.
     (b) Let the filler cure.
   (3) Damage type 2:
     (a) Cut out the polycarbonate for component type C or the prepreg for the component type D or the polyetherimide for the component type E and F over the edges of the damaged area.
     (b) Install a doubler in the repaired area on the rear side of the panel up to 25 mm (0.98 in.) over the edges of the cut-out area:
       1 For aluminium doubler for component type C, D, E or F:
  • Apply Polyurethane Adhesive-Equipment & Furnishing Two parts - (Material No.05FCE1) (2) for component type C, E and F or Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 1 (Material No.05EML9) (2) for component type D in the area of installation.
  • Install an ALUMINUM PLATE ABS 5044 (1).
       2 For polycarbonate doubler for component type C:
  • Make sure that the minimum thickness of the new doubler has the thickness of the top layer which is used for this component.
  • Apply Polyurethane Adhesive-Equipment & Furnishing Two parts - (Material No.05FCE1) (2) in the area of installation.
  • Install a DOUBLER DAN 197 (1).
       3 For glasscloth doubler for component type D:
  • Make sure that the minimum thickness of the new doubler has the thickness of the top layer which is used for this component.
  • Apply Laminating resin-Epoxy Fire compliant - (Material No.13EBK1) (2) in the area of installation.
  • Install a doubler Dry glass fabric-4H Satin 293 gsm - 143 style - - (Material No.13ACA1) (1).
       4 For polyetherimide doubler for component type E:
  • Apply DOUBLER DAN 1187-01 (2) or Polyurethane Adhesive-Equipment & Furnishing Two parts - (Material No.05FCE1) in the area of installation.
  • Install a DOUBLER DAN 1194 (1).
       5 For polyphenylsulfone doubler for component type F:
  • Make sure that the minimum thickness of the new doubler has the thickness of the top layer which is used for this component.
  • Apply Polyurethane Adhesive-Equipment & Furnishing Two parts - (Material No.05FCE1) (2) in the area of installation.
  • Install a DOUBLER IPS DAN 1291-02 (1).
     (c) Use a SPATULA - NON METALLIC and apply Paste Adhesive-- Filler Furnishing (Material No.13FGE3) (3) for component type C, E and F or Paste Adhesive-Polyester Filler - (Material No.13FCA1) (3) for component type D to the surface of the repair area.
     (d) Let the filler (3) cure.
   (4) Make the repair area smooth with a PAPER - ABRASIVE (GRADE 200) or finer.
   (5) Clean the surface with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration
   (1) Apply the decor layer on the repaired area:
   (2) If removed, install the related door lining or door frame lining. Refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 25-23-00-00).

B. De-energize the ground service network
