B. Damage Repair of Sandwich Structure
(1) Type A damage repair (flaking, scratches, impacts, nicks)
(a) Make the repair area smooth with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400) 20 mm (0.79 in.) around the defect.
(b) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(c) Apply Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) on the damaged area to give it its initial shape and contour.
(d) Let the material cure for two hours at 70 deg.C (158.00 deg.F) or 24 hours at room temperature.
(e) Make the repair area smooth with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400).
(f) Make sure that the repair is correct and do the painting procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 25-13-00-370-001).
(2) Type B damage repair (scratches, dents, perforation of the skin with no damage to the honeycomb)
(a) Make the repair area smooth with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400) 20 mm (0.79 in.) around the defect.
(b) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(c) Apply Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) on the damaged area to give it its initial shape and contour.
(d) Let the material cure for two hours at 70 deg.C (158.00 deg.F) or 24 hours at room temperature.
(e) Make the repair area smooth with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400).
(f) Apply two layers of Dry glass fabric-4H Satin 105 gsm - 120 style SRM Type 2 - (Material No.13ABC1) soaked with Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) and make an overlap of 15 mm (0.59 in.) around the damaged area.
(g) Let the material cure for two hours at 70 deg.C (158.00 deg.F) or 24 hours at room temperature.
(h) Make sure that the repair is correct and do the painting procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 25-13-00-370-001).
(3) Type C damage repair (perforation of the skin or impacts with damage to the honeycomb)
(a) Make the repair area smooth with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400) 20 mm (0.79 in.) around the defect.
(b) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(c) If damage is through the skin:

5 Let the material cure for two hours at 70 deg.C (158.00 deg.F) or 24 hours at room temperature.
(d) If damage is not through the skin:
1 Use a SPATULA - NON METALLIC to fill the damaged area with Paste Adhesive-- Core restoration Furnishing (Material No.13FGF3) .
2 Let the material cure for two hours at 70 deg.C (158.00 deg.F) or 24 hours at room temperature.
3 Make the repair area smooth with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400).
(e) Make sure that the repair is correct and do the painting procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 25-13-00-370-001).
(4) Type D damage repair (delamination, separation, debonding)
(a) If damage is not through the skin:
1 Make the repair area smooth with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400) 20 mm (0.79 in.) around the defect.
2 Remove the damaged skin and honeycomb with a CUTTER - THIN BLADE.
3 Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
4 Use a SPATULA - NON METALLIC to fill the damaged area with Paste Adhesive-- Filler Furnishing (Material No.13FGE3) .
5 Let the material cure for two hours at 70 deg.C (158.00 deg.F) or 24 hours at room temperature.
6 Make the repair area smooth with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400).
7 Apply two layers of Dry glass fabric-4H Satin 105 gsm - 120 style SRM Type 2 - (Material No.13ABC1) soaked with Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) and make an overlap of 15 mm (0.59 in.).
8 Let the material cure for two hours at 70 deg.C (158.00 deg.F) or 24 hours at room temperature.
9 Make sure that the repair is correct and do the painting procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 25-13-00-370-001).
(b) If damage is through the skin:

(5) Type E damage repair (damage on the edge)
(a) Do a check of the damage dimensions with a 98A57103013000 TAP TEST-TOOL.
(b) Remove the damaged layers.
(c) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(d) Replace the removed area with Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) to give the repair area its initial shape and contour.
(e) Let the material cure for two hours at 70 deg.C (158.00 deg.F) or 24 hours at room temperature.
(f) Make the repair area smooth with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400).
(g) Apply two layers of Dry glass fabric-4H Satin 105 gsm - 120 style SRM Type 2 - (Material No.13ABC1) soaked with Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) and make an overlap of 15 mm (0.59 in.) on each side of the panel.

(a) Make the repair area between the layers and cutout smooth with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400).
(b) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(c) Apply Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) between the layers to give the repair area its initial shape and contour.
(d) Install the CLAMPS and tighten them.
(e) Let the material cure for two hours at 70 deg.C (158.00 deg.F) or 24 hours at room temperature.
(f) Make the repair area smooth with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400).
(g) Make sure that the repair is correct and do the painting procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 25-13-00-370-001).

1 If necessary, use a locally made caul plate to make sure that you get the initial shape.
(e) Let the material cure for two hours at 70 deg.C (158.00 deg.F) or 24 hours at room temperature.
(f) Make sure that the repair is correct and do the painting procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 25-13-00-370-001).
(5) Type J damage repair (cavity)
(a) Rub the cavity area on the visible side with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400).
(b) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(c) Apply Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) in the cavity to give the repair area its initial shape and contour.
(d) Let the material cure for two hours at 70 deg.C (158.00 deg.F) or 24 hours at room temperature.
(e) Make the repair area smooth with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400).

(e) Let the material cure for two hours at 70 deg.C (158.00 deg.F) or 24 hours at room temperature.
(f) Make the repair area smooth with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400).
(g) Make sure that the repair is correct and do the painting procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 25-13-00-370-001).
(4) Type I damage repair (impact at the edge)
(a) Make the repair area smooth with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400) 20 mm (0.79 in.) around the defect.
(b) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(c) Apply X layers of Dry glass fabric-4H Satin 105 gsm - 120 style SRM Type 2 - (Material No.13ABC1) soaked with Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) to give the repair area its initial shape and contour.
NOTE: X = the same number as for the initial shape.
(d) To complete the repair, apply two layers of Dry glass fabric-4H Satin 105 gsm - 120 style SRM Type 2 - (Material No.13ABC1) soaked with Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) on each side of the panel and make an overlap of 15 mm (0.59 in.). 1 If necessary, use a locally made caul plate to make sure that you get the initial shape.
(e) Let the material cure for two hours at 70 deg.C (158.00 deg.F) or 24 hours at room temperature.
(f) Make sure that the repair is correct and do the painting procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 25-13-00-370-001).
(5) Type J damage repair (cavity)
(a) Rub the cavity area on the visible side with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400).
(b) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(c) Apply Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) in the cavity to give the repair area its initial shape and contour.
(d) Let the material cure for two hours at 70 deg.C (158.00 deg.F) or 24 hours at room temperature.
(e) Make the repair area smooth with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400).
(f) To complete the repair, apply a layer Dry glass fabric-4H Satin 105 gsm - 120 style SRM Type 2 - (Material No.13ABC1) soaked with Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) and make an overlap of 15 mm (0.59 in.) around the damaged area.
(g) Let the material cure for two hours at 70 deg.C (158.00 deg.F) or 24 hours at room temperature.
(h) Make sure that the repair is correct and do the painting procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 25-13-00-370-001).
(6) Type K damage repair (crack)
(a) Make the repair area smooth with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400) 20 mm (0.79 in.) around the defect.
(b) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(c) Apply the Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) on the damaged area to give it its initial shape and contour.
(d) Let the material cure for two hours at 70 deg.C (158.00 deg.F) or 24 hours at room temperature.
(e) Make the repair area smooth with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400).
(f) To complete the repair, apply three layers of Dry glass fabric-4H Satin 105 gsm - 120 style SRM Type 2 - (Material No.13ABC1) soaked with Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) and make an overlap of 15 mm (0.59 in.) on each side of the panel.
(g) Let the material cure for two hours at 70 deg.C (158.00 deg.F) or 24 hours at room temperature.
(h) Make sure that the repair is correct and do the painting procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 25-13-00-370-001).
