3. Job Set-up
Subtask 24-92-00-860-081-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position on the right side of the engine.
   (2) Remove these access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-002):
  • For the left pylon: 414AR
  • For the right pylon: 424AR.
   (3) Open the right fan cowl (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position on the right side of the engine.
   (2) Remove these access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-002):
  • For the left pylon: 413AR
  • For the right pylon: 423AR.
   (3) Open the right fan cowl (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010):
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position on the right side of the engine.
   (2) Remove these access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-002):
  • For the left pylon: 414AR
  • For the right pylon: 424AR.
   (3) Open the right fan cowl (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position on the right side of the engine.
   (2) Remove these access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-002):
  • For the left pylon: 413AR
  • For the right pylon: 423AR.
   (3) Open the right fan cowl (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

4. Procedure
Subtask 24-92-00-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the IDG feeder cables
   (1) Disconnect the feeder cables from the right side of the pylon:
     (a) Remove the bolts (18), the washers (17) and the plate (16).
     (b) Disconnect the IDG feeder connector from the connector (14).
     (c) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
     (d) Remove and discard the lockwire from the attachment plate (13) and the connector (14).
     (e) Remove the four nuts (12), the four bolts (15) and one attachment plate (13).
     (f) Remove the nuts (10) and the washers (9).
     (g) Disengage the two clamps (8) and remove the spacers (7).
     (h) Remove the clamp blocks (6), the bobbins (11) and the spacers (5).
     (i) Remove and discard the lockwire (2) from the plate (4).
     (j) Remove the cover (3).
     (k) Remove the nuts (1) and disconnect the four electrical feeders.
     (l) Remove the IDG feeders from the pylon.
