A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
   (2) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
   (1) Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

C. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

D. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Clean and degrease the contact surface of the engine leasing-plate bracket with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Petroleum Based - (Material No.08BBB1) .

A. Installation of the Engine Leasing-Plate Bracket
F Engine Leasing-Plate Bracket ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Put and hold the engine leasing-plate bracket (1) in position on the fan case.
   (2) Install the nuts (2).
   (3) TORQUE the nuts (2) to between 0.33 and 0.30 m.daN (29.20 and 26.55 lbf.in ) T.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the engine leasing plate (Ref. AMM TASK 11-00-00-960-002).
   (3) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

B. Reactivation of the Thrust Reverser
   (1) Make the thrust reverser serviceable after maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-805).

   (1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
