GENERAL VISUAL INSPECTION OF COCKPIT (EWIS)

NOTE: This is an EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) procedure. EWIS is defined in ESPM 20-33-11.

3. Job Set-up
Subtask 05-22-10-010-051-A

A. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the zone 831 (841).
(2) Open the fwd passenger/crew door 831 (841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Remove the ceiling panels:
211BC 211FC 211HC,
212BC 212FC.
(Ref. AMM TASK 25-13-41-000-001).
(4) Remove the sidewall panel 212KW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-13-41-000-002).

(5) Lift the insulation blankets sufficiently to do the inspection.

4. Procedure
Subtask 05-22-10-210-051-A

A. Do a general visual inspection of the cockpit.
Make sure that:

there is no damage (corrosion, leaks or cracks) on all the parts of the components and the structure you can see.
all the installations (wiring, piping or ducting) are attached correctly.

5. Close-up
Subtask 05-22-10-410-051-A

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Put the insulation blankets back in position.
(3) Install the ceiling panels:
211BC 211FC 211HC,
212BC 212FC.
(Ref. AMM TASK 25-13-41-400-001).
(4) Install the sidewall panel 212KW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-13-41-400-002).
(5) Close the fwd passenger/crew door 831 (841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
