A. Do the test of the FDIMU (10TV) AMM 31-36-00-740-012.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 31-36-00-810-110-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test gives the maintenance message as listed below do the related trouble shooting procedure:
   (1) If the test gives a message related to a FDIMU internal failure replace the DMU/FDIU (FDIMU) [10TV] AMM 31-36-34-000-002 and AMM 31-36-34-400-002.
   (2) If the fault continues:
   (3) If the test gives a message "NO RESPONSE" (FDIU part and DMU part):
  • make sure that the CB 5TV is closed
  • do a check for 115 VAC at the FDIMU (10TV) connectors AC/1 and AC/7 ASM 313601.
     (a) If there is 115 VAC:
     (b) If the fault continues:
       1 FDIMU (10TV) connector AA/15C and SDAC1 (1WV1) pin AA/10K and SDAC2 (1WV2) pin AA10K
       2 FDIMU (10TV) connector AA/12C and AMU (1RN) pin AB/2J
       3 FDIMU (10TV) connector AA/12D and AMU (1RN) pin AB/2K
       4 FDIMU (10TV) connector AB/4C and CFDIU (1TW) connector AB/11D
       5 FDIMU (10TV) connector AB/4D and CFDIU (1TW) connector AB/11E
       6 FDIMU (10TV) connector AA/12E and CFDIU (1TW) connector AB/8B
       7 FDIMU (10TV) connector AA/12F and CFDIU (1TW) connector AB/8C.
     (c) If there is no 115 VAC:
  • do a check and repair the wiring between the DMU/FDIU (FDIMU) [10TV] and CB 5TV and Ground points ASM 313601:
       1 from FDIMU AC/1 to CB 5TV/2
       2 from FDIMU AC/7 to ground
       3 from FDIMU AA/15J to ground
       4 from FDIMU AA/15K to ground
       5 from FDIMU AB/15J to ground
       6 from FDIMU AB/15K to ground.
   (4) If the ECAM shows the message "31-00 DAR" and a DAR is not installed:
  • make sure that the PCMCIA configuration of the FDIMU database is correct.
NOTE: A DAR fault message also can occur on the ECAM, if the PCMCIA configuration of the FDIMU database is customized. For example the FDIMU generates a DAR fault message, if a PCMCIA card is not installed or the PCMCIA DAR space is full and the CFDS failure inhibition is not set. For details refer to the vendor documentation of the FDIMU.
     (a) If the bits 1 and 3 of the alpha call-up "DISI1" are "1":
  • check if pin AA/13E of the FDIMU is grounded ASM 313601.
       1 If the pin AA/13E is grounded:
  • repair the wiring and remove the ground from pin AA/13E.
       2 If the pin AA/13E is not grounded:

B. Do the test given in Para. 3.
