Subtask 79-11-10-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 79-11-10-010-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040)

A. Installation of the pins on the Oil Tank
(2) Lubricate the threads of the pins (20) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) . Install pins (20) into the oil tank (40) recesses.
(3) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (10) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) . Install the 4 bolts (10) on each pin (20).
(4) TORQUE the bolts (10) to between 105 and 95 lbf.in (1.19 and 1.07 m.daN )
.
Subtask 79-11-10-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: Do these steps in case of the replacement of the oil tank (40).
(1) Lubricate the 2 new O-rings (30) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) . Install new AIPC 79-11-10-01-260 O-RING (30) onto each pin (20). (2) Lubricate the threads of the pins (20) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) . Install pins (20) into the oil tank (40) recesses.
(3) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (10) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) . Install the 4 bolts (10) on each pin (20).
(4) TORQUE the bolts (10) to between 105 and 95 lbf.in (1.19 and 1.07 m.daN )
. B. Installation of the Oil Tank.
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Set the oil tank (110) in the correct position on the engine.
(4) Attach the oil tank upper mount as follows:
(a) Lubricate the threads of the shoulder-headed pin (50) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(b) Install the shoulder-headed pin (50), head rearwards, the washer (250) and the nut (240).
(c) TORQUE the nut (240) to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN )
.
(d) Install a new AIPC 79-11-10-01-010 COTTER PIN (40) to safety the nut (240).
(a) Lubricate the threads of the oil tank pins with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(b) Install the shock absorbers (80) and (120) on the oil tank mounting pins. install the nuts (70) and (160). Tighten the nuts by hand.
(c) Lubricate the threads of bolts (90) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(d) Set the oil tank in the correct position and engage the dowel pins (60) of the shock absorbers in the recesses of the brackets.
(e) Install the bolts (90).
(f) TORQUE the bolts (90) to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN )
.
(g) TORQUE the nuts (70) and (160) to between 100 and 95 lbf.in (1.13 and 1.07 m.daN )
.
(6) Attach the bonding strip (220) as follows:
(a) Lubricate the threads of the bolt (190) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(b) Attach the bonding strip to the hole No. 79 of the flange E, with the bolt (190), the washer (260) and the nut (230).
(c) TORQUE the nut (230) to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN )
.
(7) Install the tubes/hoses to the oil tank, as follows:
(b) Inspect gaskets (30), (130) and (210) before installation (Ref. AMM TASK 70-21-00-918-001). Replace them if necessary.
(c) Lubricate gaskets with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
(d) Lubricate the threads of bolts (10), (140) and (170) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(e) Make sure that the mating faces are clean and in good condition.
(f) Install gaskets (30), (130) and (210) and connect the vent hose (20) the suction hose (150) and the discharge hose (180) to the oil tank (110) with bolts (10), (140) and (170).
(g) TORQUE the bolts to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
.
(h) Lubricate the threads of the oil tank nipples with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
(i) Connect the drain tube (100) and the hose (200) to the nipples.
(j) TORQUE the coupling nuts to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )
.
(8) Install the oil quantity transmitter (Ref. AMM TASK 79-31-15-400-040).
Subtask 79-11-10-610-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL Subtask 79-11-10-710-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Set the oil tank (110) in the correct position on the engine.
(4) Attach the oil tank upper mount as follows:
(a) Lubricate the threads of the shoulder-headed pin (50) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(b) Install the shoulder-headed pin (50), head rearwards, the washer (250) and the nut (240).
(c) TORQUE the nut (240) to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN )
. (d) Install a new AIPC 79-11-10-01-010 COTTER PIN (40) to safety the nut (240).
NOTE: If necessary, you can loosen the nut lightly to clear first slot and help the insertion of the cotter pin.
(5) Attach the oil tank lower mounts as follows: (a) Lubricate the threads of the oil tank pins with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(b) Install the shock absorbers (80) and (120) on the oil tank mounting pins. install the nuts (70) and (160). Tighten the nuts by hand.
(c) Lubricate the threads of bolts (90) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(d) Set the oil tank in the correct position and engage the dowel pins (60) of the shock absorbers in the recesses of the brackets.
(e) Install the bolts (90).
(f) TORQUE the bolts (90) to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN )
. (g) TORQUE the nuts (70) and (160) to between 100 and 95 lbf.in (1.13 and 1.07 m.daN )
. (6) Attach the bonding strip (220) as follows:
(a) Lubricate the threads of the bolt (190) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(b) Attach the bonding strip to the hole No. 79 of the flange E, with the bolt (190), the washer (260) and the nut (230).
(c) TORQUE the nut (230) to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN )
. (7) Install the tubes/hoses to the oil tank, as follows:
CAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS:
(a) Remove the blanking caps from tubes and hoses and from the oil tank ports and nipples. - ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION, AND
- ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT.
(b) Inspect gaskets (30), (130) and (210) before installation (Ref. AMM TASK 70-21-00-918-001). Replace them if necessary.
(c) Lubricate gaskets with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
(d) Lubricate the threads of bolts (10), (140) and (170) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(e) Make sure that the mating faces are clean and in good condition.
(f) Install gaskets (30), (130) and (210) and connect the vent hose (20) the suction hose (150) and the discharge hose (180) to the oil tank (110) with bolts (10), (140) and (170).
(g) TORQUE the bolts to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
. (h) Lubricate the threads of the oil tank nipples with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
(i) Connect the drain tube (100) and the hose (200) to the nipples.
(j) TORQUE the coupling nuts to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )
. (8) Install the oil quantity transmitter (Ref. AMM TASK 79-31-15-400-040).
D. Operate engine at ground idle or above for a minimum of 3 minutes and check for leaks (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-006) and (Ref. AMM TASK 79-00-00-210-005).
