A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that you did the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).

B. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
447AL, 448AR.
   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position.
4. Procedure
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 79-11-02-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Oil Tank Cap and Filler Neck
   (1) Removal of the protection covers:
CAUTION: REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
     (a) Make sure that you remove all the COVER - PROTECTION to prevent damage to the engine.
   (2) Install the oil tank cap (2) and the oil tank filler-neck (1) on the oil tank as follows:
NOTE: The oil tank cap (2) and the oil tank filler-neck (1) are removed and replaced as an assembly.
     (a) Apply grease (Material No.P04-010) on the threads of the four bolts (4).
     (b) Apply P03-001lubricant, aircraft turbine engine (synthetic base) or lubricant sealing ring (Material No.P06-053) on the new EIPC 79-11-02-01-090 PACKING (3).
     (c) Install the
EIPC 79-11-02-01-090 PACKING (3) on the oil tank filler-neck (1).
     (d) Install the oil tank filler-neck (1) with the four bolts (4) and the four washers (5).
     (e) Apply P03-001lubricant, aircraft turbine engine (synthetic base) on the threads of the oil-tank scupper drain-tube.
     (f) Connect the oil tank drain-tube to the oil tank filler-neck (1).
     (g) TORQUE the four bolts (4) to between 95 and 78 lbf.in (1.07 and 0.88 m.daN ) T in small increments and until the same torque indication holds.
     (h) TORQUE the B-nut:
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO HOLD THE MATING PARTS WHEN YOU LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE TUBE OR HOSE NUTS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS CAUTION, YOU CAN TWIST OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TUBES OR HOSES.
       1 TORQUE the B-nut to between 315 and 301 lbf.in (3.56 and 3.40 m.daN ) T.
   (3) If necessary, install the oil tank cap (2) as follows:
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU CLOSE THE OIL TANK CAP COMPLETELY. MAKE SURE THAT THE OIL TANK CAP LEVER IS DOWN AND LOCKED. IF YOU DO NOT, OIL CAN COME OUT OF THE TANK AND AN IN-FLIGHT SHUTDOWN CAN OCCUR.
     (a) Use the FLASHLIGHT and make sure that the oil tank flapper-valve (inside the fill neck) is closed and not damaged.
     (b) Inspect the filler EIPC 79-11-02-01-140 PACKING (15). Replace it if damaged.
     (c) Align the oil tank cap (2) on the two oil tank filler-neck (1) insert-grooves.
     (d) Install the oil tank cap (2) on the oil tank filler-neck (1) and push down in the place.
     (e) Turn the lever clockwise and push down to lock.
     (f) Make sure that the lever is down against the oil tank cap (2).
   (4) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.
   (5) Make sure that you install the COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Close the fan cowl doors (
Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

B. Test
   (1) Do the test No. 3 - Idle power test (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-720-811).
