Subtask 78-36-41-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 78-36-41-010-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040)

(2) Make sure that the right thrust reverser door is open: (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-040)

Subtask 78-36-41-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Thrust Reverser Half Door Latches:
(1) Installation of the Forward Half Door Latches
(a) Put the latches (15) into position and install the bolt (20) and the nut (10).
(b) Tighten the nut (10) until the clearance between the half door and the nut is from 0.0019 in. (0.05 mm) to 0.009 in. (0.23 mm).
(c) Safety the nut (10) with a new AIPC 78-36-41-01-020 COTTER PIN (05).
(2) Installation of the Middle Half Door Latch
(a) Put the latch (25) into position and install the bolt (30) and the nut (10).
(b) Tighten the nut (10) until the clearance between the cowl structure and the nut is from 0.0019 in. (0.05 mm) to 0.009 in. (0.23 mm).
(c) Safety the nut (10) with a new AIPC 78-36-41-01-020 COTTER PIN (05).
(3) Installation of the Aft Half Door Latch
(a) Put the latch (25) into position and install the pin (40), the bracket (35) with the bolt (30).
(b) TORQUE the bolt (30) to between 40 and 30 lbf.in (0.45 and 0.34 m.daN )

5. Close-up(1) Installation of the Forward Half Door Latches
(a) Put the latches (15) into position and install the bolt (20) and the nut (10).
(b) Tighten the nut (10) until the clearance between the half door and the nut is from 0.0019 in. (0.05 mm) to 0.009 in. (0.23 mm).
(c) Safety the nut (10) with a new AIPC 78-36-41-01-020 COTTER PIN (05).
(2) Installation of the Middle Half Door Latch
(a) Put the latch (25) into position and install the bolt (30) and the nut (10).
(b) Tighten the nut (10) until the clearance between the cowl structure and the nut is from 0.0019 in. (0.05 mm) to 0.009 in. (0.23 mm).
(c) Safety the nut (10) with a new AIPC 78-36-41-01-020 COTTER PIN (05).
(3) Installation of the Aft Half Door Latch
(a) Put the latch (25) into position and install the pin (40), the bracket (35) with the bolt (30).
(b) TORQUE the bolt (30) to between 40 and 30 lbf.in (0.45 and 0.34 m.daN )

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the right thrust reverser door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-040)
