A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the aircraft is in the same configuration as for the removal task.

B. Get Access

A. Install the pressure relief door
(1) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(3) Put the pressure relief door (9) in to position on the right thrust reverser half (1) 452AR (462AR).
(4) Align the hinges of the pressure relief door with the hinges on the right thrust reverser half (1).
(5) Install a pin (6) and two washers (7) at each hinge position.
(6) Safety each pin (6) with a new AIPC 78-32-80-80-040 COTTERPIN (8) .
(7) Attachment of the lanyard assembly
(8) Attach the lanyard assembly (4) to the pressure relief door (9), and the right thrust reverser half (1), with the bolts (2), the washers (3) and the nuts (5).
(9) TORQUE the nuts (5) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).

(10) Put the pressure relief door (9) in the position on the right thrust reverser half (1) 452AR (462AR).
(11) Align the hinges of the pressure relief door with the hinges on the right thrust reverser half (1).
(12) Install a pin (6) and two washers (7) at each hinge position.
(13) Safety each pin (6) with a new AIPC 78-32-80-80-040 COTTERPIN (8).
5. Close-up(1) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(3) Put the pressure relief door (9) in to position on the right thrust reverser half (1) 452AR (462AR).
(4) Align the hinges of the pressure relief door with the hinges on the right thrust reverser half (1).
(5) Install a pin (6) and two washers (7) at each hinge position.
(6) Safety each pin (6) with a new AIPC 78-32-80-80-040 COTTERPIN (8) .
(7) Attachment of the lanyard assembly
CAUTION:
BEFORE YOU ATTACH THE LANYARD ASSEMBLY TO THE RIGHT THRUST-REVERSER HALF AND THE PRESSURE RELIEF DOOR, MAKE SURE THE LENGTH OF THE LANYARD IS NOT MORE THAN 9.50 INCHES (241.3 MM) EYE TO EYE. THIS WILL HELP TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE THRUST REVERSER.
(a) If the lanyard (4) is damaged, or more than 9.5 in. (241.30 mm) in length eye to eye, replace it with a new lanyard assembly. (8) Attach the lanyard assembly (4) to the pressure relief door (9), and the right thrust reverser half (1), with the bolts (2), the washers (3) and the nuts (5).
(9) TORQUE the nuts (5) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )

(10) Put the pressure relief door (9) in the position on the right thrust reverser half (1) 452AR (462AR).
(11) Align the hinges of the pressure relief door with the hinges on the right thrust reverser half (1).
(12) Install a pin (6) and two washers (7) at each hinge position.
(13) Safety each pin (6) with a new AIPC 78-32-80-80-040 COTTERPIN (8).
Subtask 78-32-80-410-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the thrust reverser pressure relief door.

(c) Install the IAE1N20023 ADAPTER-TORQUE TOOL on a breaker bar (hand tool).
(d) Put the IAE1N20023 ADAPTER-TORQUE TOOL into the latch bolt slot (10), (2 places) on the pressure relief door (9).
Subtask 78-32-80-440-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL Subtask 78-32-80-410-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the thrust reverser pressure relief door.

(c) Install the IAE1N20023 ADAPTER-TORQUE TOOL on a breaker bar (hand tool).
(d) Put the IAE1N20023 ADAPTER-TORQUE TOOL into the latch bolt slot (10), (2 places) on the pressure relief door (9).
NOTE: The IAE1N20023 ADAPTER-TORQUE TOOL must rest evenly in the latch bolt slot (10).
(e) Close the door and apply a force to the wrench until the latch engages.
