   (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Ground Maintenance
WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

D. Get Access
   (1) To get access, manually extend the right thrust reverser translating sleeve (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-860-802).
   (2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
4. Procedure
Subtask 78-32-72-020-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Right Thrust Reverser Bullnose Seals
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
   (1) Remove the upper bullnose seal (1).
     (a) Cut the bond between the upper bullnose seal (1) and the seal retainers.
     (b) Remove the upper bullnose seal (1) from the upper seal cap, the adjacent standard bullnose seal (2) and the applicable seal retainer.
     (c) Remove the remaining sealant from the seal retainers with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
   (2) Remove the lower bullnose seal (3).
     (a) Cut the bond between the lower bullnose seal (3) and the seal retainer.
     (b) Remove the lower bullnose seal (3) from the lower seal cap, the adjacent standard bullnose seal (2) and the applicable seal retainer.
     (c) Remove the remaining sealant from the seal retainer with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
   (3) Remove the three standard bullnose seals (2).
     (a) Cut the bond between the three standard bullnose seals (2) and the seal retainers.
     (b) Remove the standard thrust reverser bullnose seals (2) from the applicable seal retainers.
     (c) Remove the remaining sealant from the seal retainers with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
