   (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

   (2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position.

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO THE DEACTIVATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO MAINTENANCE WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS PROCEDURE, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED OPERATION AND THUS OF INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

   (1) Open the left thrust reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

Subtask 78-32-46-020-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Pressure Relief Door Shock Bushings
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
   (1) Remove the pressure relief door shock bushings (3).
CAUTION: DO NOT OPEN THE PRESSURE RELIEF DOOR MORE THAN 23 DEGREES. IF YOU OPEN THE PRESSURE RELIEF DOOR MORE THAN 23 DEGREES, THE SHOCK BUSHINGS CAN HIT THE PRESSURE-RELIEF DOOR CLEVIS AND BECOME DAMAGED.
CAUTION: IF THE PRESSURE RELIEF DOOR WAS OPENED BECAUSE OF A BURST-DUCT EVENT, YOU MUST REPLACE THE BUSHINGS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE PRESSURE RELIEF DOOR CAN OCCUR AT NEXT EVENT.
     (a) If necessary, open the pressure relief door.
     (b) Remove the nut (5), two washers (2), two washers (4) two bushings (3) and bolt (1) from the upper pressure relief door hinge.
     (c) Remove the nut (5), two washers (2), two washers (4) two bushings (3) and bolt (1) from the lower pressure relief door hinge.
     (d) Installation of the protection covers
CAUTION: INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
       1 Make sure that you install COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine.
