(1) Do the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).

B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Ground Maintenance

WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
(2) Remove the applicable aft hinge access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-06-000-801).

4. Procedure
Subtask 78-32-39-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Remove the translating sleeve stopper pin

NOTE: This procedure is to remove the translating sleeve stopper pin on the left thrust reverser. The procedure for the translating sleeve stopper pin on the right thrust reverser is the same.

(1) Remove the two bolts (1) and two washers (2) that attach the bracket (3) to the hinge beam.
(2) Remove the bracket (3) from the hinge beam.
(3) Remove the translating sleeve stopper pin (4) from the hinge beam.
