B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).
4. Procedure
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 78-32-00-040-130-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Deactivation of the TRAS track lock pin access panel.
NOTE: This procedure is for the TRAS track lock pin access panel on the left thrust reverser half. The procedure for the TRAS track lock pin access panel on the right thrust reverser half is opposite.
   (1) If the damaged TRAS track lock pin access panel is there, remove the TRAS track lock pin access panel from the latch beam (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-37-000-801).
   (2) Clean the mating surface of the TRAS track lock pin access panel on the latch beam. Use a clean, lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) and PU2-0001alcohol, isopropyl. Remove the PU2-0001alcohol, isopropyl with a clean lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) before it dries.
   (3) Cut the High Speed Tape (Material No.PU1-0042) to the correct dimensions for the opening in the latch beam SRM 517712.
   (4) Apply the High Speed Tape (Material No.PU1-0042) over the opening on the latch beam SRM 517712.
   (5) Apply a second layer of the High Speed Tape (Material No.PU1-0042) perpendicular to the first layer SRM 517712.
   (6) Make the High Speed Tape (Material No.PU1-0042) smooth on the mating surfaces of the latch beam. Remove the air pockets and push the edges of the High Speed Tape (Material No.PU1-0042) tightly against the latch beam SRM 517712.
   (7) Make sure that the High Speed Tape (Material No.PU1-0042) is tightly attached to the latch beam.

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
