Removal of the Right TRAS Track Lock Harness

   (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

   (2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.

D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

E. Get Access
   (1) Get access to the TRAS track-lock harness on the forward frame of the thrust reverser cowl door.
4. Procedure
CAUTION: USE PLIERS THAT HAVE TEFLON JAWS TO TIGHTEN THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS. DO NOT USE PLIERS THAT HAVE METAL JAWS. METAL JAWS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS.

A. Removal of the Right TRAS Track Lock Harness (3)
   (1) Disconnect the pylon track lock harness (4051VC-A) from the right TRAS track lock harness (3) (4051VC) with PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT.
   (2) Remove the four screws (2) and the four washers (1) that attach the right TRAS track lock harness (3) to the torque box disconnect panel.
   (3) Remove the right TRAS track lock harness (3) from the torque box disconnect panel.
   (4) Remove the bolt (4) and the washer (5) that attach the clamp (6), the right TRAS track lock harness (3), the right TRAS monitoring harness clamp and right TRAS monitoring harness to the torque box.
   (5) Install the bolt (4) and washer (5) again to the right TRAS monitoring harness clamp fingertight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamp from the right TRAS monitoring harness.
   (6) Remove the clamp (6) from the right TRAS track lock harness (3).
   (7) Remove the two bolts (9) and the two washers (8) that attach the two clamps (7), the right TRAS track lock harness (3), the two right TRAS monitoring harness clamps and the right TRAS monitoring harness to the torque box.
   (8) Install the two bolts (9) and two washers (8) to the right TRAS monitoring harness clamps fingertight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamps from the right TRAS monitoring harness.
   (9) Remove the two clamps (7) from the right TRAS track lock harness (3).
   (10) Remove the five bolts (12) and the five washers (11) that attach the five clamps (10), the right TRAS track lock harness (3), the five right TRAS monitoring harness clamps and the right TRAS monitoring harness to the torque box.
   (11) Install the five bolts (9) and five washers (8) to the right TRAS monitoring harness clamps fingertight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamps from the right TRAS monitoring harness.
   (12) Remove the five clamps (10) from the right TRAS track lock harness (3).
   (13) Remove the four nuts (13) and the eight washers (14) that attach the four clamps (15), the right TRAS track lock harness (3), the four right TRAS monitoring harness clamps, the right TRAS monitoring harness and the four supports to the torque box.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamps from the right TRAS monitoring harness.
NOTE: Do not remove the supports from the torque box.
   (14) Attach the four clamps, the right TRAS monitoring harness and the four supports back on the torque box. Use the four nuts (13) and the eight washers (14).
NOTE: Do not torque the nuts (13) at this time.
   (15) Remove the four clamps (15) from the right TRAS track lock harness (3).
   (16) Remove the bolt (16) and the washer (17) that attach the clamp (18), the right TRAS track lock harness (3), the right TRAS monitoring harness clamp and the right TRAS monitoring harness to the torque box.
   (17) Install the bolt (16) and washer (17) to the right TRAS monitoring harness clamp fingertight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamp from the right TRAS monitoring harness.
   (18) Remove the clamp (18) from the right TRAS track lock harness (3).
   (19) Remove the bolt (21) and the washer (20) that attach the clamp (19), the right TRAS track lock harness (3), the right TRAS monitoring harness clamp and the right TRAS monitoring harness to the torque box.
   (20) Install the bolt (21) and washer (20) to the right TRAS monitoring harness clamp fingertight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamp from the right TRAS monitoring harness.
   (21) Remove the clamp (19) from the right TRAS track lock harness (3).
   (22) Remove the bolt (23) and the washer (24) that attach the clamp (22), the right TRAS track lock harness (3), the right TRAS monitoring harness clamp and the right TRAS monitoring harness to the torque box.
   (23) Install the bolt (23) and washer (24) again to the right TRAS monitoring harness clamp fingertight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamp from the right TRAS monitoring harness.
   (24) Remove the clamp (22) from the right TRAS track lock harness (3).
   (25) Remove the bolt (27) and the washer (26) that attach the clamp (25), the right TRAS track lock harness (3), the right TRAS monitoring harness clamp and the right TRAS monitoring harness to the torque box.
   (26) Install the bolt (27) and washer (26) to the right TRAS monitoring harness clamp fingertight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamp from the right TRAS monitoring harness.
   (27) Remove the clamp (25) from the right TRAS track lock harness (3).
   (28) Remove the bolt (30) and washers (29) and (28) that attach the right TRAS track lock harness (3) terminal lug to the torque box.
   (29) Disconnect the right TRAS track lock harness (3) (4142KS-A) from the track lock valve with PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT.
   (30) Remove the right TRAS track lock harness (3) from the torque box.
   (31) Installation of the protection covers
CAUTION: INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
     (a) Make sure that you install COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine.
