A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.

C. Make Sure That the Thrust Reverser are Deactivated:
4. ProcedureWARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) IS DEACTIVATED BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER. IF THE HCU IS NOT DEACTIVATED, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED THRUST REVERSER OPERATION WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser Hydraulic-Control-Unit (HCU) is deactivated (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012). Subtask 78-11-12-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Install the Exhaust Cone
(1) Put the exhaust cone (2) in position on the engine flange.
(2) Clean components:
(a) Clean the engine exhaust cone attaching bolts (1) withV01-076 Methyl Ethyl Ketone, Technical grade . Wipe dry with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) before the methylethylketone evaporates,
(b) Apply anti-seize compound (Material No.V10-094) to the engine exhaust cone attaching bolts (1).
(3) Install the 13 bolts (1). Do not torque the bolts until they are all installed.
(4) TORQUE the bolts to between 130 and 120 lbf.in (1.47 and 1.36 m.daN )
in sequence (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013):
(a) Torque the bolts in opposite pairs. Start with the first pair just above the horizontal on the left and right side of the exhaust cone,
(b) Move clockwise to the next pair of bolts,
(c) Do this procedure until all the bolts have been tightened.
5. Close-up(1) Put the exhaust cone (2) in position on the engine flange.
(2) Clean components:
(a) Clean the engine exhaust cone attaching bolts (1) with
(b) Apply anti-seize compound (Material No.V10-094) to the engine exhaust cone attaching bolts (1).
(3) Install the 13 bolts (1). Do not torque the bolts until they are all installed.
(4) TORQUE the bolts to between 130 and 120 lbf.in (1.47 and 1.36 m.daN )
in sequence (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013): (a) Torque the bolts in opposite pairs. Start with the first pair just above the horizontal on the left and right side of the exhaust cone,
(b) Move clockwise to the next pair of bolts,
(c) Do this procedure until all the bolts have been tightened.

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
