WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

C. Deactivate the Thrust Reverser
(2) Open the thrust reverser halves (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-010-010).
4. ProcedureWARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) IS DEACTIVATED BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER. IF THE HCU IS NOT DEACTIVATED, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED THRUST REVERSER OPERATION WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Deactivate the thrust reverser hydraulic control unit (HCU) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012). (2) Open the thrust reverser halves (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-010-010).

A. Removal of the Core EGT Harness
(1) Disconnect the core EGT harness from the thermocouple junction box (Ref. AMM TASK 77-21-43-000-010).
(2) Remove the bolt (1), the washer (2) and the nut (4) that attach the clip (3) to the lug on the tube 1 at position B.
(3) Make a note of position of the spacer (8). Remove the bolt (5), the washer (6), the spacer (8) and the nut (9) that attach the clip (7) to the lug on the tube 2 at position C.
(4) Make a note of the position of the spacers (13) and (15). Remove the bolt (10), the washer (11), the two spacers (13) and (15) and the nut (16) that attach the clips (12) and (14) to the lug on the tube 3 at position D.
(5) Make a note of position of the spacer (20). Remove the bolt (17), the washer (18), the spacer (20) and the nut (21) that attach the clip (19) to the lug on the tube 3 at position E.

(6) Remove the bolt (22), the washers (23) and (26), and the nut (27) that attach the clip (24) to the lug on the tube 4 and the clip (25) on the tube 2 at position F.

(7) Make a note of the position of the spacer (28). Remove the bolt (22), the spacer (28) and the nut (27) that attach the clips (24) and (25) to the lug on the tube 4 at position F.

(20) Remove the bolt (75), the washer (76) and the nut (78) that attach the clip (77) to the lug on the tube 7 at position R.
(21) Remove the bolt (79), the washer (80) and the nut (82) that attach the clip (81) to the lug on the tube 1 at position S.
(22) Make a note of the position of the spacer (86). Remove the bolt (83), the washer (84), the spacer (86) and the nut (88) that attach the clips (85) and (87) to the lug on the tube 7 at position T.
(23) Make a note of the position of the spacer (92). Remove the bolt (89), the washer (90), the spacer (92) and the nut (93) that attach the clip (91) to the lug on the tube 1 at position U.
(24) Disconnect the electrical connector 4007VC-A from the electrical receptacle 4007VC.
(25) Remove the four screws (95) and the four nuts (96) that attach the electrical receptacle 4007VC to the bracket (94) on flange FJ at position V.

(27) Remove the core EGT harness.
Subtask 77-21-43-620-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Disconnect the core EGT harness from the thermocouple junction box (Ref. AMM TASK 77-21-43-000-010).
(2) Remove the bolt (1), the washer (2) and the nut (4) that attach the clip (3) to the lug on the tube 1 at position B.
(3) Make a note of position of the spacer (8). Remove the bolt (5), the washer (6), the spacer (8) and the nut (9) that attach the clip (7) to the lug on the tube 2 at position C.
(4) Make a note of the position of the spacers (13) and (15). Remove the bolt (10), the washer (11), the two spacers (13) and (15) and the nut (16) that attach the clips (12) and (14) to the lug on the tube 3 at position D.
(5) Make a note of position of the spacer (20). Remove the bolt (17), the washer (18), the spacer (20) and the nut (21) that attach the clip (19) to the lug on the tube 3 at position E.

(23) Make a note of the position of the spacer (92). Remove the bolt (89), the washer (90), the spacer (92) and the nut (93) that attach the clip (91) to the lug on the tube 1 at position U.
(24) Disconnect the electrical connector 4007VC-A from the electrical receptacle 4007VC.
(25) Remove the four screws (95) and the four nuts (96) that attach the electrical receptacle 4007VC to the bracket (94) on flange FJ at position V.
