3. Job Set-up
Subtask 75-32-53-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
   (3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.

B. Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010)

4. Procedure

A. Remove all the caps/covers/plugs from the openings.

B. Clean the mating faces.
WARNING: DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:
  • FLUSH IT AWAY WITH CLEAN WATER
  • GET MEDICAL AID.
   (1) Make a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) moist with cleaning fluid (Material No.V01-001) . Use the cloth to clean the solenoid valve and mounting bracket faces.

Subtask 75-32-53-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Install the HPC stage 10 solenoid valve.
   (1) Attach the solenoid valve (2) to the mounting bracket (8) with the washers (5) and the bolts (4).
   (2) TORQUE the bolts to between 45 and 36 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.41 m.daN ) T (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
   (3) Attach the electrical connector (6) to the solenoid valve (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-15-912-010).
   (4) Tighten the connector.
   (5) Connect the HP3 air outlet tube.
F HPC Stage 10 Solenoid Valve ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) Attach the air outlet tube (3) to the solenoid valve (2).
     (b) TORQUE the connector to between 177 and 159 lbf.in (2.00 and 1.80 m.daN ) T (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (c) Safety the connectors with the lockwire (Material No.V02-126) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-40-11-911-014).

D. Install the HP3 air inlet tube.
   (1) Connect the air inlet tube to the solenoid valve (2) and the HP3 air tube (7).
   (2) TORQUE the connectors to between 221 and 204 lbf.in (2.50 and 2.31 m.daN ) T (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013)
   (3) Safety the connectors with the lockwire (Material No.V02-126) . (Ref. AMM TASK 70-40-11-911-014)
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)
437AL 438AR.
     (b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
447AL 448AR.
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 75-32-53-790-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Do a test of the HPC stage 10 solenoid valve (Ref. AMM TASK 75-32-53-700-010) or (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-017).
