A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
     (b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
     (c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
  • The ENG/MODE selector switch, and
  • The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
   (2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)

   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.
4. Procedure
WARNING: USE PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT. USE THE ENGINE OIL IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA. ENGINE OIL IS TOXIC.
Subtask 75-24-10-420-050-A
A. Installation of the EEC Cooling Duct (IN) (1) and Cooling Duct (OUT) (2)
   (1) Remove all COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
   (2) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
   (3) Installation of the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2):
     (a) Lubricate the threads of the screw (23), screw (25), screw (31) and screw (40), the threads of the two bolts (28), the two bolts (34) and the two bolts (37) with Engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
     (b) Connect the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2) to the EEC cooling blower (upper) (3).
     (c) Install the clamp (24) on the EEC cooling blower (upper) (3).
     (d) Install the screw (23) to attach the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2) to the EEC cooling blower (upper) (3) and tighten it with your hand.
     (e) TORQUE the screw (23) to between 23.28 and 20.98 lbf.in (0.26 and 0.24 m.daN ) T.
     (f) Connect the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2) to the EEC cooling blower (lower) (5).
     (g) Install the clamp (26) on the EEC cooling blower (lower) (5).
     (h) Install the screw (25) to attach the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2) to the EEC cooling blower (lower) (5) and tighten it with your hand.
     (i) TORQUE the screw (25) to between 23.28 and 20.98 lbf.in (0.26 and 0.24 m.daN )
T.
     (j) Install the clamp (29) on the bracket (27).
     (k) Install the two bolts (28) on the clamp (29) to attach the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2) to the bracket (27) and tighten them with your hand.
     (l) TORQUE the two bolts (28) to between 74.35 and 67.27 lbf.in (0.84 and 0.76 m.daN )

     (m) Connect the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2) to the EEC channel A (30).
     (n)

Install the clamp (32) on the EEC channel A (30).
     (o) Install the screw (31) to attach the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2) to the EEC channel A (30) and tighten it with your hand.
     (p) TORQUE the screw (31) to between 23.28 and 20.98 lbf.in (0.26 and 0.24 m.daN )

     (q) Install the clamp (35) on the bracket (33).
     (r) Install the two bolts (34) on the clamp (35) to attach the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2) to the bracket (33) and tighten them with your hand.
     (s) TORQUE the two bolts (34) to between 74.35 and 67.27 lbf.in (0.84 and 0.76 m.daN )
T.
     (t) Install the clamp (38) on the bracket (36).
     (u) Install the two bolts (37) on the clamp (38) to attach the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2) to the bracket (36) and tighten them with your hand.
     (v) TORQUE the two bolts (37) to between 74.35 and 67.27 lbf.in (0.84 and 0.76 m.daN )

     (w) Connect the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2) to the EEC channel B (39).

Install the clamp (41) on the EEC channel B (39).
     (y) Install the screw (40) to attach the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2) to the EEC channel B (39) and tighten it with your hand.
     (z) TORQUE the screw (40) to between 23.28 and 20.98 lbf.in (0.26 and 0.24 m.daN )

   (4) Installation of the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1):
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL THE CLAMP IN THE CORRECT POSITION ON THE EEC COOLING DUCT. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, WHEN YOU CLOSE THE FAN COWL DOOR, IT WILL HIT THE CLAMP AND DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
     (a) Lubricate the threads of the nut (8), the threads of the screw (19) and screw (21), the threads of the two bolts (11), the bolt (14) and the two bolts (17) with Engine oil (Material No.
CP2442) .
     (b) Connect the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1) to the inlet cowl (7) with the clamp (9).
     (c) Adjust the clamp (9) in the correct position on the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1) and inlet cowl (7).
     (d) Install the nut (8) on the clamp (9) to attach the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1) to the inlet cowl (7) and tighten it with your hand.
     (e) TORQUE the nut (8) to between 46.47 and 42.04 lbf.in (0.53 and 0.48 m.daN ) T.
     (f) Install the clamp (12) on the bracket (10).
     (g) Install the two bolts (11) on the clamp (12) to attach the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1) to the bracket (10) and tighten them with your hand.
     (h) TORQUE the two bolts (11) to between 74.35 and 67.27 lbf.in (0.84 and 0.76 m.daN )

     (i) Install the clamp (15) on the bracket (13).
     (j) Install the bolt (14) on the clamp (15) to attach the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1) to the bracket (13) and tighten it with your hand.
     (k) TORQUE the bolt (14) to between 74.35 and 67.27 lbf.in (0.84 and 0.76 m.daN )
T.
     (l) Install the clamp (18) on the bracket (16).
     (m) Install the two bolts (17) on the clamp (18) to attach the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1) to the bracket (16) and tighten them with your hand.
     (n) TORQUE the two bolts (17) to between 74.35 and 67.27 lbf.in (0.84 and 0.76 m.daN )
T.
     (o) Connect the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1) to the EEC cooling blower (lower) (5).
     (p) Install the clamp (20) on the EEC cooling blower (lower) (5).
     (q) Install the screw (19) to attach the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1) to the EEC cooling blower (lower) (5) and tighten it with your hand.
     (r) TORQUE the screw (19) to between 23.28 and 20.98 lbf.in (0.26 and 0.24 m.daN )

     (s) Connect the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1) to the EEC cooling blower (upper) (3).
     (t) Install the clamp (22) on the EEC cooling blower (upper) (3).
     (u) Install the screw (21) to attach the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1) to the EEC cooling blower (upper) (3) and tighten it with your hand.
     (v) TORQUE the screw (21) to between 23.28 and 20.98 lbf.in (0.26 and 0.24 m.daN )

   (5) Connection of the EEC cooling blowers:
     (a) Connect the HJ2A harness electrical connector (4) to the EEC cooling blower (upper) (3).
     (b) Connect the HJ2A harness electrical connector (6) to the EEC cooling blower (lower) (5).
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the fan cowl doors (
Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
