A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 75-22-05-010-050-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
Subtask 75-22-05-010-051-A WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-809). D. Open the thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

Subtask 75-22-05-020-050-A
A. Remove the Low Pressure Turbine Active Clearance Control (LPT ACC) Valve
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector (17) from the LPT ACC valve (1). Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT, if necessary.
(3) Remove the Active Clearance Control (ACC) wye duct (11) as follows:
(a) Remove the hose clamp (12) that attaches the ACC wye duct (11) to the High Pressure Turbine Active Clearance Control (HPT ACC) valve (13).
(b) Remove the hose clamp (8) that attaches the ACC wye duct (11) to the LPT ACC valve (1).
(c) Remove the hose clamp (9) that attaches the ACC wye duct (11) to the ACC inlet duct (10).
(d) Remove the ACC wye duct (11) from the engine.
(4) Remove the LPT ACC aft valve wye duct (7) as follows:
(a) Remove the hose clamp (2) that attaches the LPT ACC aft valve wye duct (7) to the LPT ACC valve (1).
(b) Remove the hose clamp (4) that attaches the LPT ACC aft valve wye duct (7) to the air duct (3).
(c) Remove the hose clamp (5) that attaches the LPT ACC aft valve wye duct (7) to the air duct (6).
(d) Remove the LPT ACC aft valve wye duct (7) from the engine.
(5) Disconnect the MTC-ACC fuel hydraulic manifold (15) from the LPT ACC valve (1) as follows:
(a) Remove the four bolts (16) that attach the MTC-ACC fuel hydraulic manifold (15) to the LPT ACC valve (1).
(b) Remove and discard the gasket seal (14).
(6) Remove the two bolts (21) that attach the bracket (18) and bracket (22) to the LPTACC valve (1).
(7) Remove the bolt (23) that attaches the bracket (19) to the bracket (24).
(8) Hold the LPT ACC valve (1) and bracket (19) and remove the two bolts (25) and two washers (26) that attach the bracket (19) to the bracket (18).
(9) Remove the LPT ACC valve (1) with attached bracket (19) from the engine.
(10) Hold the LPT ACC valve (1) and remove the two bolts (20) and two washers (27) that attach the bracket (19) to the LPT ACC valve (1).
(11) Install COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and connectors.
Subtask 75-22-05-620-050-A WARNING:
BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET AIRCRAFT FUEL IN YOUR MOUTH OR IN YOUR EYES.
IF YOU GET FUEL ON YOUR SKIN OR ON YOUR CLOTHES, FLUSH IT IMMEDIATELY WITH WATER.
IF NECESSARY, GET MEDICAL HELP.
AIRCRAFT FUEL IS POISONOUS.
(1) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the LPT ACC valve (1). (2) Disconnect the electrical connector (17) from the LPT ACC valve (1). Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT, if necessary.
(3) Remove the Active Clearance Control (ACC) wye duct (11) as follows:
(a) Remove the hose clamp (12) that attaches the ACC wye duct (11) to the High Pressure Turbine Active Clearance Control (HPT ACC) valve (13).
(b) Remove the hose clamp (8) that attaches the ACC wye duct (11) to the LPT ACC valve (1).
(c) Remove the hose clamp (9) that attaches the ACC wye duct (11) to the ACC inlet duct (10).
(d) Remove the ACC wye duct (11) from the engine.
(4) Remove the LPT ACC aft valve wye duct (7) as follows:
(a) Remove the hose clamp (2) that attaches the LPT ACC aft valve wye duct (7) to the LPT ACC valve (1).
(b) Remove the hose clamp (4) that attaches the LPT ACC aft valve wye duct (7) to the air duct (3).
(c) Remove the hose clamp (5) that attaches the LPT ACC aft valve wye duct (7) to the air duct (6).
(d) Remove the LPT ACC aft valve wye duct (7) from the engine.
(5) Disconnect the MTC-ACC fuel hydraulic manifold (15) from the LPT ACC valve (1) as follows:
(a) Remove the four bolts (16) that attach the MTC-ACC fuel hydraulic manifold (15) to the LPT ACC valve (1).
(b) Remove and discard the gasket seal (14).
(6) Remove the two bolts (21) that attach the bracket (18) and bracket (22) to the LPTACC valve (1).
(7) Remove the bolt (23) that attaches the bracket (19) to the bracket (24).
(8) Hold the LPT ACC valve (1) and bracket (19) and remove the two bolts (25) and two washers (26) that attach the bracket (19) to the bracket (18).
(9) Remove the LPT ACC valve (1) with attached bracket (19) from the engine.
(10) Hold the LPT ACC valve (1) and remove the two bolts (20) and two washers (27) that attach the bracket (19) to the LPT ACC valve (1).
(11) Install COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and connectors.
B. Preservation of the LPT ACC Valve
(1) In the instance of shipping or prolonged storage, preserve the LPT ACC valve per theCMM 752205 .
