B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the MAINTENANCE PNL 50VU:
     (a) Release the ENG / FADEC GND PWR / 1(2) pushbutton switch. The ON legend of this pushbutton switch comes on.
   (2) On the ENG PNL 115VU, make sure that:
     (a) The ENG/MODE/CRANK/NORM/IGN START selector switch is set to NORM.
     (b) The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch is set to OFF.
   (3) On the OVERHEAD CTL & IND PNL 22VU:
  • Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/MAN START/1(2) pushbutton switch is off (the pushbutton switch is released out).
   (4) On the HYD/FUEL PNL 40VU:
     (a) Make sure that the OFF legends of all the FUEL/PUMPS pushbutton switches are on (the pushbutton switches are released out).
   (5) Do the EIS start procedure: (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 74-31-00-200-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Check for ignition fault warning
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the ENG PNL 115VU:
  • Set the ENG/MODE/CRANK/NORM/IGN START selector switch to IGN START.
On the upper ECAM display unit:
  • The primary engine parameters come into view.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE INLET PRESSURE INDICATION FOR THE STARTER VALVE IS ZERO BEFORE YOU PUSH THE ENG/MAN START/1 (2) PUSHBUTTON SWITCH.
2.On the OVERHEAD CTL & IND CTL 22VU:

  • Push the ENG/MAN START/1(2) pushbutton switch.
  • The ON legend of this pushbutton switch comes on.
3.On the ENG PNL 115VU:
  • Set the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch to ON.
On the lower ECAM display unit, on the ENGINE page:
ENG1(2) START VALVE FAULT warning comes into view.
START VALVE NOT OPEN
  • after about 15s make sure that IGN A+B FAULT warning comes into view.
4.On the OVERHEAD CTL & IND CTL 22VU:
  • Release the ENG/MAN START/1(2) pushbutton switch.

5.On the ENG PNL 115VU:
  • Set the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch to OFF.

6.On the ENG PNL 115VU:
  • Set the ENG/MODE/CRANK/NORM/IGN START selector switch to NORM.
NOTE: The ECU stays electrically supplied for 5 minutes after you set:
  • the ENG/MASTER 1(2) lever to OFF.
  • The ENG/MODE/CRANK/NORM/IGN START rotary selector to NORM.
NOTE: The WARNING messages that appears during this procedure can be cleared by an ON/OFF switching of the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.

5. Close-up
Subtask 74-31-00-860-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) On the MAINTENANCE PNL 50VU:
     (a) Push the ENG / FADEC GND PWR / 1(2) pushbutton switch. The ON legend goes off.
   (2) Do the EIS stop procedure: (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (3) Make an entry in the logbook.
   (4) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons that igniter indication is selected on the ENGINE SD page (FAA only).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
