BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 73-22-48-010-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:

B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
447AL, 448AR.
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position on the right side of the engine.
4. Procedure(1) Open the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)
437AL, 438AR
(b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
447AL, 448AR.
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position on the right side of the engine.
Subtask 73-22-48-020-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Disconnect the P2 hose assembly from the Electronic Engine Control (EEC):
(2) Hold the union (1) with the applicable WRENCH - STANDARD.
(a) Disconnect the flexible hose (2).
(3) Do not remove the union (1) from the EEC, but cover it with the CAP - PROTECTION to prevent contamination of the P2 pressure sensor.
Subtask 73-22-48-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1) Remove and discard the lockwire from the flexible hose (2) connector. (2) Hold the union (1) with the applicable WRENCH - STANDARD.
(a) Disconnect the flexible hose (2).
(3) Do not remove the union (1) from the EEC, but cover it with the CAP - PROTECTION to prevent contamination of the P2 pressure sensor.
B. Disconnect the P2 tube assembly from the P2T2 sensor probe (Ref. AMM TASK 73-22-48-000-010):
(1) Remove the P2 probe tube access panel:
(a) Remove the 18 bolts (3) from the P2T2 access panel (2).
(b) Remove the P2T2 access panel (2) from the air intake cowl.
(2) Disconnect the P2 tube assembly:
(a) Hold the union (4) with the applicable WRENCH - STANDARD.
1 Disconnect the tube assembly (7) from the union (4).
(b) Cover the union (4) opening with the CAP - PROTECTION to prevent debris intrusion.
Subtask 73-22-48-020-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the P2 probe tube access panel:
(a) Remove the 18 bolts (3) from the P2T2 access panel (2).
(b) Remove the P2T2 access panel (2) from the air intake cowl.
(2) Disconnect the P2 tube assembly:
(a) Hold the union (4) with the applicable WRENCH - STANDARD.
1 Disconnect the tube assembly (7) from the union (4).
(b) Cover the union (4) opening with the CAP - PROTECTION to prevent debris intrusion.
C. Purge the P2T2 probe tube and hose assembly:
(1) Blow out all contamination from the tube assembly (7) and the hose assembly (1) with the NITROGEN COMPRESSED SOURCE 5 BAR (72.5 PSI) - (DRY) or the clean AIR SOURCE 5 BAR (72.5 PSI) for three minutes.
(a) Make sure that the nitrogen or air flows freely through the air tubing.
Subtask 73-22-48-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Blow out all contamination from the tube assembly (7) and the hose assembly (1) with the NITROGEN COMPRESSED SOURCE 5 BAR (72.5 PSI) - (DRY) or the clean AIR SOURCE 5 BAR (72.5 PSI) for three minutes.
(a) Make sure that the nitrogen or air flows freely through the air tubing.
D. Connect the P2 tube to the P2T2 sensor probe (Ref. AMM TASK 73-22-48-400-010):
(1) Remove the CAP - PROTECTION and make sure that the union (4) has no debris or contamination.
(a) Clean the open port with the lint free cloth (Material No.V02-099) and cleaning fluid (Ref. AMM TASK 70-11-50-100-802). Use one of the solvents in Table 7, Table 8 or Table 9.
(2) Connect the tube assembly (7) to the union (4).
(3) Hold the union (4).
(a) TORQUE the connector of the tube assembly (7) to between 145 and 135 lbf.in (1.64 and 1.53 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(4) Attach the P2T2 access panel (2) to the air intake cowl with the 18 bolts (3).
(5) TORQUE the bolts (3) to between 38.5 and 31.5 lbf.in (0.44 and 0.36 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
Subtask 73-22-48-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the CAP - PROTECTION and make sure that the union (4) has no debris or contamination.
(a) Clean the open port with the lint free cloth (Material No.V02-099) and cleaning fluid (Ref. AMM TASK 70-11-50-100-802). Use one of the solvents in Table 7, Table 8 or Table 9.
(2) Connect the tube assembly (7) to the union (4).
(3) Hold the union (4).
(a) TORQUE the connector of the tube assembly (7) to between 145 and 135 lbf.in (1.64 and 1.53 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013). (4) Attach the P2T2 access panel (2) to the air intake cowl with the 18 bolts (3).
(5) TORQUE the bolts (3) to between 38.5 and 31.5 lbf.in (0.44 and 0.36 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).E. Connect the P2 hose assembly to the EEC:
(1) Remove the CAP - PROTECTION and make sure that the union (1) has no debris or contamination.
(a) Clean the open port with the lint free cloth (Material No.V02-099) and cleaning fluid (Ref. AMM TASK 70-11-50-100-802). Use one of the solvents in Table 7, Table 8 or Table 9.
(2) Connect the flexible hose (2) to the union (1).
(3) Hold the union (1).
(a) TORQUE the connector of the flexible hose (2) to between 199 and 182 lbf.in (2.25 and 2.06 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
5. Close-up(1) Remove the CAP - PROTECTION and make sure that the union (1) has no debris or contamination.
(a) Clean the open port with the lint free cloth (Material No.V02-099) and cleaning fluid (Ref. AMM TASK 70-11-50-100-802). Use one of the solvents in Table 7, Table 8 or Table 9.
(2) Connect the flexible hose (2) to the union (1).
(3) Hold the union (1).
(a) TORQUE the connector of the flexible hose (2) to between 199 and 182 lbf.in (2.25 and 2.06 m.daN )

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
