A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
     (b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
     (c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
  • The ENG/MODE selector switch
  • The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
   (2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

4. Procedure
Subtask 73-21-70-420-054-A
A. Installation of the P3B Line
   (1) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION from all the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
   (2) Lubrication of the coupling nut threads
WARNING: USE PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT. USE THE ENGINE OIL IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA. ENGINE OIL IS TOXIC.
     (a) Lubricate the threads of the two coupling nuts (2) of the P3B line (1) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
   (3) Install the six clamps (5), (8), (11), (13), (15) and (17) on the P3B line (1).
   (4) Install the P3B line (1) in the correct position.
   (5) Install the bolt (4) and the nut (3) on the clamp (5) and tighten them with your hand.
   (6) Install the bolt (7) and the nut (6) on the clamp (8) and tighten them with your hand.
   (7) Install the bolt (10) and the nut (9) on the clamp (11) and tighten them with your hand.
   (8) Install the bolt (12) on the clamp (13) and tighten it with your hand.
   (9) Install the bolt (14) on the clamp (15) and tighten it with your hand.
   (10) Install the bolt (16) on the clamp (17) and tighten it with your hand.
   (11) Connect the coupling nut (2) of the P3B line (1) to the pressure sub-system box-nipple (19) and tighten it with your hand.
   (12) Connect the coupling nut (2) of the PS3 line (1) to the air duct (18) and tighten it with your hand.
   (13) Tightening of the coupling nuts
CAUTION: USE TWO WRENCHES TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT. USE ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE FITTING AND THE OTHER TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT. IF YOU DO NOT USE TWO WRENCHES, DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
     (a) TORQUE the two coupling nuts (2) to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN ) T.
   (14) Safety the coupling nuts (2).
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (a) Attach the first coupling nut (2) to the pressure sub-system box (19) with the CP8006safety cable 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia..
     (b) Attach the second coupling nut (2) to the air duct (18) with the CP8006safety cable 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia..
   (15) TORQUE the three bolts (12), (14) and (16) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )

   (16) TORQUE the three nuts (3), (6) and (9) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the fan cowl doors (
