Installation of the PS12 Line and Sensor
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 73-21-65-010-055-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.
Subtask 73-21-65-420-052-A
A. Installation of the PS12 Line and Sensor
(1) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION on all the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
(2) Make sure that the mating faces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(3) Installation of the right PS12 sensor.
(a) Lubrication of the O-ring
(b) Install the new EIPC 73-21-65-01-060 O-RING (10) in the groove of the PS12 sensor (1).
(c) Install the PS12 sensor (1) on the fan frame.
(d) Tighten by hand the PS12 sensor (1).
(e) TORQUE the PS12 sensor (1) to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )

(f) Tighten by hand the coupling-nut (8) of the PS12 hose (9).
(g) Tighten by hand the coupling-nut (2) of the PS12 tube (3).
(h) Install the bolts (4) to the clamp (6).
(i) Install the bolts (5) to the clamp (7).
(j) Tighten by hand the bolts (4) and (5).
(k) TORQUE the coupling-nut (2) of the PS12 tube (3) to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )

(l) TORQUE the coupling-nut (8) of the PS12 hose (9) to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )
.
(m) TORQUE the bolts (4) and (5) to between 46.4 and 42.1 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.48 m.daN )
.
(n) Safety the coupling-nut.
CP8001 lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia. .
(4) Installation of the left PS12 sensor (11).
(a) Lubricate the O-ring.
(b) Install the new EIPC 73-21-65-01-060 O-RING (14) in the groove of the PS12 sensor (11).
(c) Install the PS12 sensor (11) on the fan frame.
(d) Tighten by hand the PS12 sensor (11).
(e) TORQUE the PS12 sensor (11) to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )

(f) Tighten by hand the coupling-nut (12) of the PS12 tube (13).
(g) TORQUE the coupling-nut (12) of the PS12 tube (13) to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )
.
(h) Safety the coupling-nut.
CP8001 lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia. .
5. Close-up(1) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION on all the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
(2) Make sure that the mating faces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(3) Installation of the right PS12 sensor.
(a) Lubrication of the O-ring
WARNING:
USE PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT. USE THE ENGINE OIL IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA. ENGINE OIL IS TOXIC.
1 Lubricate the new EIPC 73-21-65-01-060 O-RING (10) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) . (b) Install the new EIPC 73-21-65-01-060 O-RING (10) in the groove of the PS12 sensor (1).
(c) Install the PS12 sensor (1) on the fan frame.
(d) Tighten by hand the PS12 sensor (1).
(e) TORQUE the PS12 sensor (1) to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )
. (f) Tighten by hand the coupling-nut (8) of the PS12 hose (9).
(g) Tighten by hand the coupling-nut (2) of the PS12 tube (3).
(h) Install the bolts (4) to the clamp (6).
(i) Install the bolts (5) to the clamp (7).
(j) Tighten by hand the bolts (4) and (5).
(k) TORQUE the coupling-nut (2) of the PS12 tube (3) to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )
. (l) TORQUE the coupling-nut (8) of the PS12 hose (9) to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )
. (m) TORQUE the bolts (4) and (5) to between 46.4 and 42.1 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.48 m.daN )
. (n) Safety the coupling-nut.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
1 Safety the coupling-nut (2) on the PS12 sensor (1) with (4) Installation of the left PS12 sensor (11).
(a) Lubricate the O-ring.
WARNING:

1 Lubricate the new EIPC 73-21-65-01-060 O-RING (14) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) . (b) Install the new EIPC 73-21-65-01-060 O-RING (14) in the groove of the PS12 sensor (11).
(c) Install the PS12 sensor (11) on the fan frame.
(d) Tighten by hand the PS12 sensor (11).
(e) TORQUE the PS12 sensor (11) to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )
. (f) Tighten by hand the coupling-nut (12) of the PS12 tube (13).
(g) TORQUE the coupling-nut (12) of the PS12 tube (13) to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )
. (h) Safety the coupling-nut.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
1 Safety the coupling-nut (12) on the PS12 Sensor (11) with Subtask 73-21-65-942-050-A
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):

(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):
