A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 73-21-50-010-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

B. Get Access

A. Removal of the J12 Harness
(1) Disconnect the J12 electrical harness from the ECU.
(2) Disconnect the 2 branches (CJ12R and CJ12L) of the electrical harness J12 in the 6 o'clock junction box.

(3) Remove the 2 bolts (82) and nuts (84) which attach the cover plate (85) to the brackets at the 5 o'clock location on the flanges G and E (detail A). Pull out the flexible clamp assembly from the brackets and pull out the J12 harness from the flexible clamp (81). Re-install the clamp assembly.

(4) Remove the 2 bolts (82) and nuts (84) which attach the cover plate (85) to the brackets at the 5 o'clock location on the flanges G and E (detail A), with clamp (83) of J15 harness. Pull out the J12 harness from the flexible clamp (81). Re-install the clamp assembly.

(5) Remove the 2 bolts (129) which attach the cover plate (127) to the right leg of the bracket at the 5:30 o'clock location between flanges E and G (detail B). Remove the clamp assembly and remove the J12 harness from the flexible clamp (128). Re-install clamp assembly.

(6) Remove the 2 bolts (132) which attach the cover plate (133) to the right bracket of the Transfer Gearbox (TGB) (detail C). Remove the cover plate and remove the J12 harness from the flexible clamp (130).

(7) Remove the 2 bolts (132) and washers (131) which attach the cover plate (133) to the right bracket on the TGB (detail C). Remove the cover plate and remove the J12 harness from the flexible clamp (130).

(8) Remove the 2 bolts (201) which attach the cover plate (204) to the rear right bracket of the TGB (detail D). Remove the cover plate and the 2 leads of the J12 harness from the flexible clamp (203).

(9) Remove the 2 bolts (201) and washers (202) which attach the cover plate (204) to the rear right bracket of the TGB (detail D). Remove the cover plate and remove the 2 leads of the J12 harness from the flexible clamp (203).

(10) Remove bolts (205) and (206) which attach the J13 bracket and the cover plate (207) to the rear bracket of TGB (detail E). Remove the flexible clamp assembly. Remove the 2 leads of the J12 harness from the flexible clamp (208). Re-install the flexible clamp assembly.
POST SB 72-200
(11) Remove bolts (205) and (206) which attach the J13 bracket and the cover plate (209) to the rear bracket of TGB (detail E). Remove the cover plate, open the flexible clamp and remove the 2 leads of the J12 harness from the flexible clamp (210).
(12) Remove the 2 leads of the J12 harness from the clips on the rear face of the 6 o'clock strut (detail F).
(13) Remove J12 harness.
(14) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(1) Disconnect the J12 electrical harness from the ECU.
(2) Disconnect the 2 branches (CJ12R and CJ12L) of the electrical harness J12 in the 6 o'clock junction box.

(3) Remove the 2 bolts (82) and nuts (84) which attach the cover plate (85) to the brackets at the 5 o'clock location on the flanges G and E (detail A). Pull out the flexible clamp assembly from the brackets and pull out the J12 harness from the flexible clamp (81). Re-install the clamp assembly.

(4) Remove the 2 bolts (82) and nuts (84) which attach the cover plate (85) to the brackets at the 5 o'clock location on the flanges G and E (detail A), with clamp (83) of J15 harness. Pull out the J12 harness from the flexible clamp (81). Re-install the clamp assembly.

(5) Remove the 2 bolts (129) which attach the cover plate (127) to the right leg of the bracket at the 5:30 o'clock location between flanges E and G (detail B). Remove the clamp assembly and remove the J12 harness from the flexible clamp (128). Re-install clamp assembly.

(6) Remove the 2 bolts (132) which attach the cover plate (133) to the right bracket of the Transfer Gearbox (TGB) (detail C). Remove the cover plate and remove the J12 harness from the flexible clamp (130).

(7) Remove the 2 bolts (132) and washers (131) which attach the cover plate (133) to the right bracket on the TGB (detail C). Remove the cover plate and remove the J12 harness from the flexible clamp (130).

(8) Remove the 2 bolts (201) which attach the cover plate (204) to the rear right bracket of the TGB (detail D). Remove the cover plate and the 2 leads of the J12 harness from the flexible clamp (203).

(9) Remove the 2 bolts (201) and washers (202) which attach the cover plate (204) to the rear right bracket of the TGB (detail D). Remove the cover plate and remove the 2 leads of the J12 harness from the flexible clamp (203).

(10) Remove bolts (205) and (206) which attach the J13 bracket and the cover plate (207) to the rear bracket of TGB (detail E). Remove the flexible clamp assembly. Remove the 2 leads of the J12 harness from the flexible clamp (208). Re-install the flexible clamp assembly.
POST SB 72-200
(11) Remove bolts (205) and (206) which attach the J13 bracket and the cover plate (209) to the rear bracket of TGB (detail E). Remove the cover plate, open the flexible clamp and remove the 2 leads of the J12 harness from the flexible clamp (210).
(12) Remove the 2 leads of the J12 harness from the clips on the rear face of the 6 o'clock strut (detail F).
(13) Remove J12 harness.
(14) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
