3. Job Set-up
Subtask 73-21-50-941-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

NOTE: This harness is connected to the J12 harness (in the 6 o'clock junction box), the Variable Bleed Valve (VBV) position sensor outer connector channel B (marked CH A), the Variable Stator Vane (VSV) position sensor (channel B) and the Burner Staging Valve (BSV) pressure switch (channel B).

NOTE: This harness is connected to the J12 harness (in the 6 o'clock junction box), the Variable Bleed Valve (VBV) position sensor outer connector channel B (marked CH B), the Variable Stator Vane (VSV) position sensor (channel B) and the Burner Staging Valve (BSV) pressure switch (channel B).

4. Procedure
Subtask 73-21-50-020-094-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the CJ12L Harness
   (1) Disconnect the electrical harness from the VSV position sensor, the VBV position sensor, the BSV pressure switch and the J12 harness from the connector in the 6 o'clock junction box.
   (2) Remove the nut (19) which attaches the CJ12l connector to the 6 o'clock junction box (view W). Remove O-ring (18).
   (3) Remove the loop clamps which attach the electrical harness. To do this, remove the bolts from the items which follow:

PRE SB 72-007

     (a) The bracket at the 8 o'clock location on the fan frame center hub (detail C).

POST SB 72-007

     (b) The boss at the 8 o'clock location on the fan frame center hub (detail C).

     (c) The support on the left side of the 6 o'clock junction box (detail D).
     (d) The bracket on the rear face of the 6 o'clock junction box (detail E).
     (e) The clamp on the VBV fuel gear motor (detail A).
   (4) Remove the bolt that attaches the harness junction box to the bracket on the fan frame center hub at the 8:30 o'clock location (detail B).
   (5) Remove the CJ12L harness.
   (6) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
   (7) Remove all the clamps from the harness.
