A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.

B. Installation of the Fuel/Return Valve Hose
(1) Remove the protective covers from the fuel/return bypass valve hose (5), the fuel/return bypass valve and the fluid disconnect panel.
(2) Attach the hose (5) and the AIPC 73-11-48-01-030 GASKET (30) to the fluid disconnect panel with the bolts (35) and the washers (40).
(3) TORQUE the bolts (35) to between 36 and 24 lbf.in (0.41 and 0.27 m.daN )

(4) Safety the bolts (35) withCP8002 lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia .
(5) Put the clamp (10) on the hose (5). Attach the hose (5) to the bracket at engine flange Sta. 176 with the screw (20) and washer (25).
(6) Put the clamps (10) on the hose (5). Attach the hose (5) to the brackets at engine flange Sta. 170 with the screws (20) and washers (25) (two locations).
(7) TORQUE the screws (20) to between 36 and 32 lbf.in (0.41 and 0.36 m.daN )

(8) Connect the hose (5) to the fuel/return bypass valve.
(9) TORQUE the coupling nut on the hose (5) to between 1050 and 1000 lbf.in (11.87 and 11.30 m.daN )
.
(10) Safety the coupling nut withCP8002 lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia .
Subtask 73-11-48-942-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the protective covers from the fuel/return bypass valve hose (5), the fuel/return bypass valve and the fluid disconnect panel.
(2) Attach the hose (5) and the AIPC 73-11-48-01-030 GASKET (30) to the fluid disconnect panel with the bolts (35) and the washers (40).
(3) TORQUE the bolts (35) to between 36 and 24 lbf.in (0.41 and 0.27 m.daN )

(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
