Removal of the Servo Fuel Heater (SFH)

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 73-11-20-010-056-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.
4. Procedure(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.
Subtask 73-11-20-020-052-A
A. Removal of the Servo Fuel Heater (SFH) (1):
(1) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the SFH (1).
(2) Drain the oil from the lube unit (Ref. AMM TASK 12-13-79-610-803).
(3) Disconnection of the oil tube (3) from the SFH (1):
(a) Remove the four bolts (4) from the oil tube (3).
(b) Disconnect the oil tube (3) from the SFH (1).
(c) Remove and discard the gasket (5).
(4) Disconnection of the oil tube (6) from the SFH (1):
(a) Remove the four bolts (7) from the oil tube (6).
(b) Disconnect the oil tube (6) from the SFH (1).
(c) Remove and discard the gasket (8).
(5) Drain the main fuel pump (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-05-000-801).
(6) Disconnection of the fuel tube (9) from the SFH (1):
(a) Remove the four bolts (10) from the fuel tube (9).
(b) Disconnect the fuel tube (9) from the SFH (1).
(c) Remove and discard the gasket (11).
(7) Disconnection of the fuel tube (12) from the SFH (1):
(a) Remove the four bolts (13) from the fuel tube (12).
(b) Disconnect the fuel tube (12) from the SFH (1).
(c) Remove and discard the gasket (14).
(8) Removal of the SFH (1):
(a) Remove the four bolts (15) and the four washers (16) that attach the SFH (1) to the four mounting brackets (17).
(b) Remove the SFH (1) from the four mounting brackets (17).
(9) Install COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and connectors.
(1) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the SFH (1).
(2) Drain the oil from the lube unit (Ref. AMM TASK 12-13-79-610-803).
(3) Disconnection of the oil tube (3) from the SFH (1):
(a) Remove the four bolts (4) from the oil tube (3).
(b) Disconnect the oil tube (3) from the SFH (1).
(c) Remove and discard the gasket (5).
(4) Disconnection of the oil tube (6) from the SFH (1):
(a) Remove the four bolts (7) from the oil tube (6).
(b) Disconnect the oil tube (6) from the SFH (1).
(c) Remove and discard the gasket (8).
(5) Drain the main fuel pump (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-05-000-801).
(6) Disconnection of the fuel tube (9) from the SFH (1):
(a) Remove the four bolts (10) from the fuel tube (9).
(b) Disconnect the fuel tube (9) from the SFH (1).
(c) Remove and discard the gasket (11).
(7) Disconnection of the fuel tube (12) from the SFH (1):
(a) Remove the four bolts (13) from the fuel tube (12).
(b) Disconnect the fuel tube (12) from the SFH (1).
(c) Remove and discard the gasket (14).
(8) Removal of the SFH (1):
(a) Remove the four bolts (15) and the four washers (16) that attach the SFH (1) to the four mounting brackets (17).
(b) Remove the SFH (1) from the four mounting brackets (17).
(9) Install COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and connectors.
