Subtask 72-56-00-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the core nozzle is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 78-11-11-000-041).
(4) Make sure that the centerbody is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 78-11-12-000-041).
4. Procedure(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the core nozzle is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 78-11-11-000-041).
(4) Make sure that the centerbody is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 78-11-12-000-041).
Subtask 72-56-00-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Flange Assembly
(2) Install the flange assembly (160) in position on the LPT frame with flow path fairing and plate lock (170) installed.
(3) Lubricating of the threads of bolts

(4) Attach the flange assembly (160) with twenty four bolts (70) to the hub inner rear flange of LPT frame.
POST SB CFMI 72-681
(5) Attach the flange assembly (160) with eight bolts (70) to the hub inner rear flange.
END OF SB 72-681
(6) TORQUE the bolts (70) to between 120 and 110 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.24 m.daN )

(7) Lubricate the threads of bolts (150) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(8) Attach the flange assembly (160) with sixteen bolts (150) to the flow path fairing installed on LPT frame through the plate lock (170).
(9) TORQUE the bolts (150) to between 120 and 110 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.24 m.daN )

Subtask 72-56-00-420-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: This procedure is for Turbine Frame with Tangential Symmetrical Section Structs only.
(1) Install a new AIPC 72-56-00-02-010 GASKET SEAL (80) on the rear flange of the oil inlet cover. (2) Install the flange assembly (160) in position on the LPT frame with flow path fairing and plate lock (170) installed.
(3) Lubricating of the threads of bolts
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GASKET SEAL IS IN THE CORRECT POSITION ON THE REAR FLANGE OF THE OIL INLET COVER.
(a) Lubricate the threads of bolts (70) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) . NOTE: Make sure that the flange assembly is correctly positioned with the aft sump overboard seal drain tube in its position.

(4) Attach the flange assembly (160) with twenty four bolts (70) to the hub inner rear flange of LPT frame.
POST SB CFMI 72-681
(5) Attach the flange assembly (160) with eight bolts (70) to the hub inner rear flange.

(6) TORQUE the bolts (70) to between 120 and 110 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.24 m.daN )
. (7) Lubricate the threads of bolts (150) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(8) Attach the flange assembly (160) with sixteen bolts (150) to the flow path fairing installed on LPT frame through the plate lock (170).
(9) TORQUE the bolts (150) to between 120 and 110 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.24 m.daN )
. B. Installation of the Flame Arrestor
(1) Lubricate the threads of bolts (20) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(2) Install the flame arrestor (30) in position on the flange assembly (160).
(3) Attach the flame arrestor with six bolts (20).
(4) TORQUE the bolts (20) to between 120 and 110 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.24 m.daN )

5. Close-up(1) Lubricate the threads of bolts (20) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(2) Install the flame arrestor (30) in position on the flange assembly (160).
(3) Attach the flame arrestor with six bolts (20).
(4) TORQUE the bolts (20) to between 120 and 110 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.24 m.daN )

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the centerbody (Ref. AMM TASK 78-11-12-400-041).
(3) Install the core nozzle (Ref. AMM TASK 78-11-11-400-041).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the centerbody (Ref. AMM TASK 78-11-12-400-041).
(3) Install the core nozzle (Ref. AMM TASK 78-11-11-400-041).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
