a Apply a thickness of primer br-127 (Material No.CP2286) between 0.0002 in. (0.005 mm) and 0.0012 in. (0.030 mm) on area to be painted and on test specimen in the same time.
b Let dry in clean air for 30 to 45 minutes.
c Cure parts to 176 deg.F (80.00 deg.C) plus or minus 41 deg.F (5.00 deg.C) during one hour.
- Make sure that the part remains at a temperature of 176 deg.F (80.00 deg.C) plus or minus 41 deg.F (5.00 deg.C) during the curing.
NOTE: It is permitted to use an infrared system with feed back control for curing.
d Control primer thickness on the test specimen. e If thickness of primer (S1238) BOLLORE PRIAM PCEH 100 respect previous indications, remove all the masking tape.
3 Cleaning.
a Clean the part with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) moistened in isopropyl alcohol (Material No.CP1041) or diestone DLS (Material No.CP2687)
4 Apply finishing paint (S1086) PRIAM 32005 as follows:
a Prepare mat black LBYH 203 (finishing paint) supplier: mader (-). Refer to the Para. 3.C.
b Apply LBYH 203 (finishing paint) supplier: mader (-) mat black with overspray on adjacent areas in repeated thin coats to get a thickness between 0.0020 in. (0.05 mm) and 0.0028 in. (0.07 mm) on area to be painted and on test specimen in the same time.
- Make sure that the overspray areas must not be larger than Dim. S. Refer to the Para. 4.A.
- The thickness of finishing paint must decrease up to 0 mm (0 in.) in the transition paint area.
d Cure part to 176 deg.F (80.00 deg.C) plus or minus 41 deg.F (5.00 deg.C) during one hour.
- Make sure that the part remains at a temperature of 176 deg.F (80.00 deg.C) plus or minus 41 deg.F (5.00 deg.C) during the curing.
NOTE: It is permitted to use an infrared system for curing with feed back control.
e Control finishing paint thickness on the test specimen. f Make sure that after polymerization the roughness of the anti-erosion paint is less than 59 microinches (1.5 micrometers).
5 Do a visual inspection of the paint of the OGV as follows:
a The color and appearance of the repaired area must be homogenous mat.
b The repaired area must be smooth and free of runs, pinholes, craters or blisters and without inclusions of foreign object.
c The interface between the repaired area and the remaining paint must be smooth.
d No paint step permitted.
(e) Install the repaired part. Refer to Para. 4.G.
G. Install the repaired part on the engine (Ref. AMM TASK 72-24-20-400-801).
(1) Count the number of blendings on OGV wheel.
(a) Make sure that quantity of blend repairs on the engine is not maximal. Refer to Para. 4.A.
5. Close-up(1) Count the number of blendings on OGV wheel.
(a) Make sure that quantity of blend repairs on the engine is not maximal. Refer to Para. 4.A.
