A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 72-24-03-010-054-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

A. Removal of the Strut 5
(1) Removal of the strut 5 fairing (right) (10):
(a) Remove the four screws (7) that attach the strut 5 fairing (right) (10) to the strut 5 pad (right) (24).
(b) Remove the three screws (8) that attach the strut 5 fairing (right) (10) to the strut 5 fairing support (6).
(c) Remove the screw (2) that attaches the strut 5 fairing (right) (10) to the strut 5 fairing support (6).
(d) Remove the three screws (9) that attach the strut 5 fairing (right) (10) to the strut 5 outer fitting (11).
(e) Remove the strut 5 fairing (right) (10) from the engine.
(2) Remove the four nuts (2) and the four bolts (5).
(3) Remove the bracket (4).
(4) Remove the seal (3).
(5) Removal of the strut 5 fairing (left) (12):
(a) Remove the four screws (16) that attach the strut 5 fairing (left) (12) to the strut 5 pad (left) (22).
(b) Remove the three screws (15) that attach the strut 5 fairing (left) (12) to the strut 5 fairing support (6).
(c) Remove the screw (14) that attaches the strut 5 fairing (left) (12) to the strut 5 fairing support (6).
(d) Remove the three screws (13) that attach the strut 5 fairing (left) (12) to the strut 5 outer fitting (11).
(e) Remove the strut 5 fairing (left) (12) from the engine.
(6) Remove the nut (17) and the bolt (18) that attach the strut 5 pad (right) (24) and the strut 5 pad (left) (22).
(7) Removal of the strut 5 pad (left) (22):
(a) Remove the two bolts (20) that attach the strut 5 pad (left) (22) to the fan frame hub (21).
(b) Remove the bolt (19) that attaches the strut 5 pad (left) (22) to the strut 5 pad (right) (24).
(c) Remove the strut 5 pad (left) (22) from the engine.
(8) Removal of the strut 5 pad (right) (24):
(a) Remove the two bolts (23) that attach the strut 5 pad (right) (24) to the fan frame hub (21).
(b) Remove the strut 5 pad (right) (24) from the engine.
(1) Removal of the strut 5 fairing (right) (10):
(a) Remove the four screws (7) that attach the strut 5 fairing (right) (10) to the strut 5 pad (right) (24).
(b) Remove the three screws (8) that attach the strut 5 fairing (right) (10) to the strut 5 fairing support (6).
(c) Remove the screw (2) that attaches the strut 5 fairing (right) (10) to the strut 5 fairing support (6).
(d) Remove the three screws (9) that attach the strut 5 fairing (right) (10) to the strut 5 outer fitting (11).
(e) Remove the strut 5 fairing (right) (10) from the engine.
(2) Remove the four nuts (2) and the four bolts (5).
(3) Remove the bracket (4).
(4) Remove the seal (3).
(5) Removal of the strut 5 fairing (left) (12):
(a) Remove the four screws (16) that attach the strut 5 fairing (left) (12) to the strut 5 pad (left) (22).
(b) Remove the three screws (15) that attach the strut 5 fairing (left) (12) to the strut 5 fairing support (6).
(c) Remove the screw (14) that attaches the strut 5 fairing (left) (12) to the strut 5 fairing support (6).
(d) Remove the three screws (13) that attach the strut 5 fairing (left) (12) to the strut 5 outer fitting (11).
(e) Remove the strut 5 fairing (left) (12) from the engine.
(6) Remove the nut (17) and the bolt (18) that attach the strut 5 pad (right) (24) and the strut 5 pad (left) (22).
(7) Removal of the strut 5 pad (left) (22):
(a) Remove the two bolts (20) that attach the strut 5 pad (left) (22) to the fan frame hub (21).
(b) Remove the bolt (19) that attaches the strut 5 pad (left) (22) to the strut 5 pad (right) (24).
(c) Remove the strut 5 pad (left) (22) from the engine.
(8) Removal of the strut 5 pad (right) (24):
(a) Remove the two bolts (23) that attach the strut 5 pad (right) (24) to the fan frame hub (21).
(b) Remove the strut 5 pad (right) (24) from the engine.
