A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 72-23-00-010-133-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.

A. Removal of the Damaged Bracket Plate
(1) Alternative Configuration Available - Welded bracket plate
(2) Alternative Configuration Available - Riveted bracket plate
(3) Do a visual inspection of the junction box. If indications, remove the junction box and applyESM 722321300013 .
(4) Remove the riveted nuts (20) from the bracket plate you remove.
Subtask 72-23-00-420-073-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Alternative Configuration Available - Welded bracket plate
WARNING:
USE PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT. METAL PARTICLES CAN CAUSE DAMAGE, INJURY OR IRRITATION.
(a) Drill to remove the spot weld from bracket plate SPM 704450320006. (2) Alternative Configuration Available - Riveted bracket plate
WARNING:
USE PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT. METAL PARTICLES CAN CAUSE DAMAGE, INJURY OR IRRITATION.
(a) Drill to remove rivets from the riveted bracket plate SPM 704332390006. (3) Do a visual inspection of the junction box. If indications, remove the junction box and apply
(4) Remove the riveted nuts (20) from the bracket plate you remove.
WARNING:
USE PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT. METAL PARTICLES CAN CAUSE DAMAGE, INJURY OR IRRITATION.
(a) Drill to remove the rivets (10) which attach the riveted nuts (20) SPM 704311390003. NOTE: Be careful not to damage the riveted nut. If the riveted nut is damaged, install a new one.
B. Installation of the New Bracket Plate
(1) Install the riveted nut (20) on the new bracket plate.
(a) Do a visual inspection of the rivet holes in the tube bundle junction box SPM 704311390003.
(b) Drill the rivet holes and the riveted nut.
(c) Put the riveted nut (20) in position and rivet it with two rivets (10) SPM 704311390003.
and
(3) Drill the rivet holes and the riveted nut.
(4) Do a fluorescent inspection of the holes SPM 703221230010. If indications, remove the junction box and applyESM 722321300013 .
(5) Do a hand blending of the contact areas SPM 704111350009.
(6) Remove the grease from the junction box contact area and the bracket plate SPM 702118160003.
(7) Put the new AIPC 72-00-00-05-062 BRACKET PLATE (40) in position and rivet it with six rivets (30) SPM 704332390006.
5. Close-up(1) Install the riveted nut (20) on the new bracket plate.
(a) Do a visual inspection of the rivet holes in the tube bundle junction box SPM 704311390003.
(b) Drill the rivet holes and the riveted nut.
WARNING:
USE PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT. METAL PARTICLES CAN CAUSE DAMAGE, INJURY OR IRRITATION.
1 If necessary, drill again at the same time the rivet holes in the junction box and in the riveted nut you are to rivet SPM 704311390003. (c) Put the riveted nut (20) in position and rivet it with two rivets (10) SPM 704311390003.
NOTE: Make sure that the rivet head does not come out of its recess. If necessary, grind it smooth with the surface.
(2) Put the new AIPC 72-00-00-05-061 BRACKET PLATE (40) in position on the junction box. and
(3) Drill the rivet holes and the riveted nut.
WARNING:
USE PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT. METAL PARTICLES CAN CAUSE DAMAGE, INJURY OR IRRITATION.
(a) Drill at the same time the rivet holes in the junction box and in the bracket plate (40) SPM 704332390006. (4) Do a fluorescent inspection of the holes SPM 703221230010. If indications, remove the junction box and apply
(5) Do a hand blending of the contact areas SPM 704111350009.
(6) Remove the grease from the junction box contact area and the bracket plate SPM 702118160003.
(7) Put the new AIPC 72-00-00-05-062 BRACKET PLATE (40) in position and rivet it with six rivets (30) SPM 704332390006.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the thrust reverser doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-040):
