A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.
(4) Install the 956A7616 MAT, PROTECTION - INLET COWL in the lower half of the inlet cowl.

(1) Make sure that the SCALE is calibrated.
(2) Install the fan blade.
(3) Weigh the blade and record the moment-weights. Refer to the scale manufacturer's procedures for weighing.

F. For the MOMENTS WEIGHT label, write the information on the cotton paper label (Material No.CP8024) with an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) scan legible print font and as follows:
(1) Character Height: 0.098 in. (2.5 mm).
(2) The space between the two characters must be between 0.2 and 0.4 times the height of the characters.
(3) The space between the two markings on the same line must be at least equivalent to three characters.
(4) The minimum line spacing must be at least 1.4 times the height.
(5) The margin between the information written and the sides of the label must be at least 0.5 times the character height.
(6) The display and content of information must be as shown in

(9) Make sure that the label is legible.

Subtask 72-21-20-150-050-A C. Preparation of the Repair Surface
Subtask 72-21-20-120-051-A CAUTION:
DO NOT REMOVE THE CARBON FIBERS OR MAKE NICKS OR DENTS IN THEM. IF YOU DO, DAMAGE TO THE PART WILL OCCUR.
(1) Remove the label and the varnish from the fan blade with the SCALPEL or any other sharp tool. D. Remove the remaining varnish with the ABRASIVE PAPER - 240 GRIT (ANSI B74.18) minimum. Do not remove the composite material.
Subtask 72-21-20-110-057-A Subtask 72-21-20-220-057-A F. Do a visual examination of the area to repair. Make sure that:
Subtask 72-21-20-930-050-A - The surface is mat. A bright area is not permitted.
- There is no residual varnish.
- There is no frayed fibers or cracks.
G. Mark the labels with the information recorded before and specified in paragraphs 3.F and 3.G with an OCR scan legible print font.
Subtask 72-21-20-110-058-A Subtask 72-21-20-360-050-A I. Bond the cotton paper labels as follows.
(1) Make sure that you put the labels in the correct position to be able to read the text when the fan blade is tip down.
(3) Apply the cotton paper label (Material No.CP8024) on the varnished area.
(5) Apply a glass veil (Material No.CP8020) on the varnished label. The glass veil must extend DIM. A more than the label.
Subtask 72-21-20-220-060-A (1) Make sure that you put the labels in the correct position to be able to read the text when the fan blade is tip down.
CAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY VARNISH ON THE WEAR STRIPS. DAMAGE TO THE PART CAN OCCUR.
(2) Apply the varnish A1500-UVR (Material No.CP8019) . (3) Apply the cotton paper label (Material No.CP8024) on the varnished area.

DO NOT APPLY VARNISH ON THE WEAR STRIPS. DAMAGE TO THE PART CAN OCCUR.
(4) Apply the varnish A1500-UVR (Material No.CP8019) . (5) Apply a glass veil (Material No.CP8020) on the varnished label. The glass veil must extend DIM. A more than the label.
CAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY VARNISH ON THE WEAR STRIPS. DAMAGE TO THE PART CAN OCCUR.
(6) Apply the varnish A1500-UVR (Material No.CP8019) . The varnish must extend Dim. A more than the glass veil. Refer to table 802 for Dim. A. CAUTION:
DO NOT MOVE THE PART DURING THE DRYING PROCEDURE. IF YOU DO, DAMAGE TO THE PART CAN OCCUR.
(7) Dry at ambient temperature during 7 to 9 hours or at a temperature range between 60 deg.C (140 deg.F) and 65 deg.C (149 deg.F) during 3 hours. J. Do a visual and dimensional examination as follows:
(1) Foreign objects more than 0.04 in. (1 mm) in diameter are not permitted.
(2) Air bubbles more than 0.04 in. (1 mm) in diameter are not permitted.
(3) Non-impregnated areas more than 0.0062 in.2 (4 mm2) are not permitted.
(4) The labels must be legible.
5. Close-up(1) Foreign objects more than 0.04 in. (1 mm) in diameter are not permitted.
(2) Air bubbles more than 0.04 in. (1 mm) in diameter are not permitted.
(3) Non-impregnated areas more than 0.0062 in.2 (4 mm2) are not permitted.
(4) The labels must be legible.

B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the 956A7616 MAT, PROTECTION - INLET COWL from the air intake cowl.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
