Removal of the Fan Exit Stator

Subtask 72-21-07-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Fan Exit Stator
(2) Find the stator (1) at the front of the engine attached to the fan intermediate case.
(3) Put the 636-1100-3GSE INLET COWL PROTECT COVER or equivalent and the MAT - PROTECTIVE in the inlet cowl.
(4) Remove the fan blades (Ref. AMM TASK 72-11-03-000-801).
(5) Remove the fan exit fairing (splitter) (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-06-000-801).
(6) Make an alignment mark on the stator (1) and on the case with aP05-472 marker - high purity, black .
(7) Remove the stator (1) from the fan intermediate case:
(a) Remove the eight bolts (6) and key washers (7) from the stator (1).
(b) Remove the 16 bolts (5), nuts (2) and brackets (3).
(8) Examine the 16 clip nuts (4) located on the brackets (3) for damage and correct attachment.
(a) Replace as necessary.
(9) Installation of the protection covers
CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(1) Removal of the protection covers CAUTION:
REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
(a) Make sure that you remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent damage to the engine. (2) Find the stator (1) at the front of the engine attached to the fan intermediate case.
(3) Put the 636-1100-3GSE INLET COWL PROTECT COVER or equivalent and the MAT - PROTECTIVE in the inlet cowl.
(4) Remove the fan blades (Ref. AMM TASK 72-11-03-000-801).
(5) Remove the fan exit fairing (splitter) (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-06-000-801).
