B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802)
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
437AL, 438AR.
(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
447AL, 448AR.
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position.

4. Procedure
Subtask 72-21-01-960-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Replacement of the Engine Lease Plate

CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.

(1) Remove the four bolts (2) and the lease plate (1) from the lease plate bracket.
(2) If the lease plate bracket is damaged, replace it (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-01-960-801).
(3) Prepare the new lease plate (1) as follows:
(a) Select the lease plate (1) with the dimensions that follows:

Dimension A - approximately 6.540 in. (166.116 mm)
Dimension B - approximately 4.037 in. (102.540 mm)
Dimension C - approximately 5.213 in. (132.410 mm)
Dimension D - approximately 3.214 in. (81.635 mm).

(b) Mark the lease plate (1) inboard of the dimensions C and D as follows:

AVIATION AB AND MAY NOT BE
FURTHER SUBLEASED TO ANY THIRD
PARTY WITHOUT THE PRIOR WRITTEN

(4) Install the new lease plate (1) to the lease plate bracket with the four bolts (2).

NOTE: The four bolts (2) can be replaced with AS3580-3-08 sized bolts.

(5) TORQUE the four bolts (2) to between 44 and 38 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.43 m.daN )

(6) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.

5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802).
