(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
447AL, 448AR.
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position.

4. Procedure
Subtask 72-21-01-960-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Replacement of the Fan Case Lease Plate Bracket

CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.

(1) Remove the four nuts (2) and bracket (1) from the fan case.
(2) Install the new EIPC 72-21-01-04-100 BRACKET (1) to the fan case with the four nuts (2).
(3) TORQUE the four nuts (2) to between 30 and 26 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.29 m.daN )

(4) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage, and correct assembly.

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):

(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
