Subtask 72-00-00-941-213-A
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
     (b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
     (c) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
  • The ENG/MODE selector switch, and
  • The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
   (2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
   (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

4. Procedure
Subtask 72-00-00-710-066-A
A. Turning of the N2 Rotor Manually
CAUTION: DO NOT USE A TOOL TO PUT THE 3/4-INCH SQUARE DRIVE INTO THE GEAR SHAFT. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AGB BEARING.
   (1) Remove the manual control cover of the Accessory Gearbox (AGB) (Ref. AMM TASK 72-63-03-000-801).
     (a) Make sure that the tool is fully clean of foreign objects or dirt before you insert it into the gearbox drive pad.
   (2) Install the 956A1610P01 CORE ENGINE ROTATION in the drive pad of the manual control cover of the AGB.
   (3) Do a check of the hand-cranking driver to make sure that the gear shaft tangs are correctly aligned with their socket slots. If a misalignment is observed, please contact CFM.
   (4) Install the 9471M47P02 ADAPTER, OFFSET - CRANK PAD on the 956A1610P01 CORE ENGINE ROTATION.
   (5)
NOTE: For better visibility of the hardware, N2 rotor is rotated in opposite direction than in engine operation.
   (6) Remove the 9471M47P02 ADAPTER, OFFSET - CRANK PAD of the 956A1610P01 CORE ENGINE ROTATION from the drive pad of the manual control cover of the AGB.
   (7) Remove the 956A1610P01 CORE ENGINE ROTATION.
   (8) Install the manual control cover of the AGB (Ref. AMM TASK 72-63-03-400-801).

B. Alternative Solution - Turn the N2 rotor with 9481M92 ELECTRONIC TURNOVER TOOL as follows:
   (1) Remove the manual control cover of the Accessory Gearbox (AGB) (Ref. AMM TASK 72-63-03-000-801).
NOTE: Make sure that the tool is fully clean of foreign objects or dirt before you insert it into the gearbox drive pad.
NOTE: Make sure that the 9471M90 SOFTWARE, PROGRAMMING - MOTOR is loaded onto the 9481M92 ELECTRONIC TURNOVER TOOL per the manufacturer's instructions. Use the manufacturer's assembly instructions to set up the 9481M92 ELECTRONIC TURNOVER TOOL for use.
   (2) Install the 956A1610P01 CORE ENGINE ROTATION, the 9471M47P02 ADAPTER, OFFSET - CRANK PAD and the 9481M92 ELECTRONIC TURNOVER TOOL to the drive pad of the manual control cover of the AGB.
   (3) If the 9481M92 ELECTRONIC TURNOVER TOOL is used to identify the zero-index point, use the manufacturer supplied instructions to set the motoring tool display to zero degrees.
NOTE: Use the manufacturer's instructions to operate the drive motor in a counterclockwise direction as seen from the rear.
NOTE: For better visibility of the hardware, N2 rotor is rotated in opposite direction than in engine operation.
   (4) Remove the 9481M92 ELECTRONIC TURNOVER TOOL, the 9471M47P02 ADAPTER, OFFSET - CRANK PAD and the 956A1610P01 CORE ENGINE ROTATION from the drive pad of the manual control cover of the AGB.
   (5) Install the manual control cover of the AGB (Ref. AMM TASK 72-63-03-400-801).

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):
