A. Preservation Renewal Requirements
   (1) Preservation renewal of an engine for a period up to 10 days:
     (a) For serviceable engine:
       1 Do the preservation for a period up to 10 days (Ref. AMM TASK 72-00-00-620-803).
         a There is no limit on the number of times you can do this procedure.
       2 For engine that has preservation period expired, refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 72-00-00-620-806).
     (b) For unserviceable engine:
       1 No renewal is allowed.
   (2) Preservation renewal of an engine for a period up to 30 days:
     (a) Operable engine:
       1 Two renewals are allowed.
       2 Do the preservation for a period up to 30 days (Ref. AMM TASK 72-00-00-620-804).
       3 If the engine will not be operated for more than the subsequent 30 days or if the maximum number of allowed renewals has been reached, do one of the tasks that follow:
         a Preservation of an engine for a period up to 90 days (Ref. AMM TASK 72-00-00-620-805).
         b Preservation of an engine for a period of 30 to 365 days (Ref. AMM TASK 72-00-00-620-802).
       4 For engine that has preservation period expired, refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 72-00-00-620-806).
     (b) Non-operable engine:
       1 No renewal is allowed.
   (3) Preservation renewal of an engine for a period up to 90 days:
     (a) Only one renewal is allowed.
     (b) Do the preservation for a period up to 90 days (Ref. AMM TASK 72-00-00-620-805).
NOTE: It is not necessary to drain and service the oil tank to do the renewal procedure, mixture already in the oil system can be used for preservation.
     (c) For engine that has preservation period expired, refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 72-00-00-620-806).
     (d) If the engine will not be operated for more than the subsequent 90 days or if the maximum number of allowed renewals has been reached, do the (Ref. AMM TASK 72-00-00-620-802).
   (4) Preservation renewal of an engine for a period up to 30 to 365 days:
     (a) Operable engine:
       1 Repeat the full procedure for the preservation renewal of an engine for a period up to 30 to 365 days (Ref. AMM TASK 72-00-00-620-802).
NOTE: Make sure that the engine is safely attached and COVER - PROTECTION is correctly in place.
NOTE: There is no limit on the number of times you can do this procedure.
       2 For engine that has preservation period expired, refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 72-00-00-620-806).
     (b) Non-operable engine:
       1 No renewal is allowed, the engine must be serviced and operable.
