A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

A. Visual Inspection of Exposed Hardware
(a) It is necessary for an individually licensed technician, or a licensed repair station (if there is no individually licensed technician), to do a visual inspection of all the engine parts that can be seen, before the engine is assembled again. This includes the items that follow:
1 All the parts that are removed from the engine and that will be installed again
2 All the parts that are not removed from the engine and that can now be seen.
(b) There must be a full inspection of these parts, and the parts must meet the serviceability limits given in the inspection limits that are applicable for the level of maintenance.
(c) It is not necessary to disassemble a part more if the area that can be seen is in the serviceable limits.
5. Close-upNOTE: Exposed hardware inspection can be done with the parts installed or removed.
(1) Exposed hardware inspection requirements (a) It is necessary for an individually licensed technician, or a licensed repair station (if there is no individually licensed technician), to do a visual inspection of all the engine parts that can be seen, before the engine is assembled again. This includes the items that follow:
1 All the parts that are removed from the engine and that will be installed again
2 All the parts that are not removed from the engine and that can now be seen.
(b) There must be a full inspection of these parts, and the parts must meet the serviceability limits given in the inspection limits that are applicable for the level of maintenance.
