A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.
Subtask 71-51-44-010-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.

A. Installation of the IDG Control and Anti-ice Harness 238W0904
(2) Put the electrical harness (5) in position on the engine.
(3) Connect the electrical connectors 401VC-A, 404VC-A and 405VC-A to the pylon junction box. Tighten the connectors with your hand plus one-eighth turn.
(4) Connect the electrical connector 4005VC-A to the connector 4005VC. Tighten the connector with your hand plus one-eighth turn.
(5) Put the harness (5) into the flip-lock clamps (10) and tighten the captive screws.
(6) Attach the clamp (25), (40) and (60) on the harness (5). Make sure that the clamp (55) is installed on the vibration sensor harness.
(7) Attach the clamps (25), (40) and (60) to the brackets with the screws (15) and the washers (20).
(8) Attach the clamp (40) to the bracket with the screw (30), the washer (20) and the spacer (35).
(9) Attach the clamps (40) and (55) to the bracket with the screw (45), the washer (20) and the nut (50).
(11) Install the clamps (25) and (40) on the harness (5) near flange station 174 (D).
(12) Attach the clamp (25) to the clamp (40) with the screw (45), the washer (20) and the nut (50).
(13) Attach the clamps (40) to the brackets with the screws (30), the washers (20) and the spacers (35).
(14) TORQUE the screws (15) and (30) to between 22 and 20 lbf.in (0.25 and 0.23 m.daN )

(15) Install the clamps (70), (75) and (80) on the harness (5).
(16) Attach the clamps to the brackets with the screws (15), washers (20) and the nuts (50).
(17) TORQUE the nuts (50) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )

(18) Put the harness (5) into the line blocks (85) and tighten the captive screws.

(19) Put clamp (95) on harness (5) and attach it to the bracket near the anti-ice valve with the screw (45), the washer (20) and the nut (50).

(20) Connect the electrical connector 4001VC-A to the interphone jack disconnect. Tighten the connector with your hand plus one-eighth turn.
(21) Put clamp (55) on connector 4001VC-A wire and attach it to the bracket with the screw (90), the washer (20) and the nut (50).
(22) Connect the electrical connector 4000DN-A to the anti-ice valve. Tighten the connector with your hand plus one-eighth turn.
(23) Put clamp (25) on harness (5) and attach it to the bracket with the screw (90) and the washer (20).

(24) Put clamp (105) on harness (5) and attach it to the line block (110) with the screw (100), the washer (20) and the nut (50).

(25) Connect the electrical connectors 4000XU-A, 4000XU-B and 4000XU-C to the integrated drive generator (IDG). Tighten the connectors with your hand plus one-eighth turn.
(26) TORQUE the nuts (50) to between 25 and 20 lbf.ft (3.39 and 2.71 m.daN )

(27) TORQUE the screws (90) to between 22 and 20 lbf.in (0.25 and 0.23 m.daN )
.
(28) Connect the ground wires to the plate with the nuts (115), the lockwashers (120) and the washers (125):
(29) Examine the harness installation and make sure that all clamps and line blocks are installed correctly.
(30) Safety the connectors and backshells with Safety wire 0.020 in Dia. nickel chromium iron alloy (MS20995N20)
Subtask 71-51-44-865-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: To tighten the flip-lock clamps and hinged line blocks, turn the captive screws 1/4 turn clockwise to engage the cam nuts.
NOTE: Refer to the recommended procedure for the installation of the wire harness (Ref. AMM TASK 70-60-00-910-042).
(1) Remove the protective covers from the electrical connectors. (2) Put the electrical harness (5) in position on the engine.
(3) Connect the electrical connectors 401VC-A, 404VC-A and 405VC-A to the pylon junction box. Tighten the connectors with your hand plus one-eighth turn.
(4) Connect the electrical connector 4005VC-A to the connector 4005VC. Tighten the connector with your hand plus one-eighth turn.
(5) Put the harness (5) into the flip-lock clamps (10) and tighten the captive screws.
(6) Attach the clamp (25), (40) and (60) on the harness (5). Make sure that the clamp (55) is installed on the vibration sensor harness.
(7) Attach the clamps (25), (40) and (60) to the brackets with the screws (15) and the washers (20).
(8) Attach the clamp (40) to the bracket with the screw (30), the washer (20) and the spacer (35).
(9) Attach the clamps (40) and (55) to the bracket with the screw (45), the washer (20) and the nut (50).
NOTE: Detail A shows the most current harness installation that is applicable for some engines. Detail B illustrates the initial harness installation. Refer to the illustrated parts catalog for applicable harness installation configurations.
(10) Put the harness (5) into the flip-lock clamps (65) and tighten the captive screws. (11) Install the clamps (25) and (40) on the harness (5) near flange station 174 (D).
(12) Attach the clamp (25) to the clamp (40) with the screw (45), the washer (20) and the nut (50).
(13) Attach the clamps (40) to the brackets with the screws (30), the washers (20) and the spacers (35).
(14) TORQUE the screws (15) and (30) to between 22 and 20 lbf.in (0.25 and 0.23 m.daN )
. (15) Install the clamps (70), (75) and (80) on the harness (5).
(16) Attach the clamps to the brackets with the screws (15), washers (20) and the nuts (50).
(17) TORQUE the nuts (50) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )
. (18) Put the harness (5) into the line blocks (85) and tighten the captive screws.

(19) Put clamp (95) on harness (5) and attach it to the bracket near the anti-ice valve with the screw (45), the washer (20) and the nut (50).

(20) Connect the electrical connector 4001VC-A to the interphone jack disconnect. Tighten the connector with your hand plus one-eighth turn.
(21) Put clamp (55) on connector 4001VC-A wire and attach it to the bracket with the screw (90), the washer (20) and the nut (50).
(22) Connect the electrical connector 4000DN-A to the anti-ice valve. Tighten the connector with your hand plus one-eighth turn.
(23) Put clamp (25) on harness (5) and attach it to the bracket with the screw (90) and the washer (20).

(24) Put clamp (105) on harness (5) and attach it to the line block (110) with the screw (100), the washer (20) and the nut (50).

(25) Connect the electrical connectors 4000XU-A, 4000XU-B and 4000XU-C to the integrated drive generator (IDG). Tighten the connectors with your hand plus one-eighth turn.
(26) TORQUE the nuts (50) to between 25 and 20 lbf.ft (3.39 and 2.71 m.daN )
. (27) TORQUE the screws (90) to between 22 and 20 lbf.in (0.25 and 0.23 m.daN )
. (28) Connect the ground wires to the plate with the nuts (115), the lockwashers (120) and the washers (125):

5. Close-up(1) Do a test of the IDG - Engine static (Ref. AMM TASK 24-21-00-710-040).
(2) Do a test of the IDG - Engine in operation (Ref. AMM TASK 24-21-00-720-041).
(3) Do a test of the Engine Air Intake Ice Protection (Ref. AMM TASK 30-21-00-710-001).
(4) Do a test of the EIU (Ref. AMM TASK 73-25-34-710-040).
