A. Operational Check of the Engine-Anti-Ice System Fault-Warning
ACTION
RESULT
CAUTION: DO NOT APPLY A TORQUE OF MORE THAN 70 LBF.IN. WHEN YOU OPEN OR CLOSE THE VALVE MANUALLY. HIGH TORQUE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE INTERNAL SHAFT IN THE VALVE. IF THE VALVE DOES NOT OPEN OR CLOSE WHEN YOU APPLY THE SPECIFIED TORQUE, YOU MUST DO AN OVERHAUL OF THE VALVE.
1.On the anti ice valve:
  • Remove the locking pin from the STOW position. Turn and set the manual override control to OPEN with a hexagonal wrench . Lock in this position with the pin. Make sure that the visual position indicator shows open.
On the ANTI ICE section of panel 25VU:
  • on the ENG1 (2) pushbutton switch, the FAULT legend comes on.
CAUTION: DO NOT APPLY A TORQUE OF MORE THAN 70 LBF.IN. WHEN YOU OPEN OR CLOSE THE VALVE MANUALLY. HIGH TORQUE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE INTERNAL SHAFT IN THE VALVE. IF THE VALVE DOES NOT OPEN OR CLOSE WHEN YOU APPLY THE SPECIFIED TORQUE, YOU MUST DO AN OVERHAUL OF THE VALVE.
2.On the anti ice valve:
  • Remove the locking pin from the LOCK position. Release the valve and set the manual override control to CLOSE. Make sure that the visual position indicator shows closed.
On the ANTI ICE section of panel 25VU:
  • on the ENG1 (2) pushbutton switch, the FAULT legend goes off.
3.On the anti ice valve:
  • put the locking pin back to the STOW position.

4.On the ANTI ICE section of panel 25VU:
  • push the ENG1 (2) pushbutton switch
On the ANTI ICE section of panel 25VU:
  • on the ENG1 (2) pushbutton switch, the FAULT and ON legends come on
  • release the ENG 1(2) pushbutton switch.
  • on the ENG 1(2) pushbutton switch, the FAULT and ON legends go off.
