A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Do the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).

B. Get Access
   (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

4. Procedure
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 71-13-21-210-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Visually examine the fan cowl door keeper housing and surrounding areas.
   (1) Do not discard a part until you are sure there are no repairs available. If you reject a part and no repair is available, contact United Technologies Aerospace Systems (UTAS) for disposition.
   (2) Examine the keeper housing and the surrounding areas on the right fan cowl door for cracks, gouges, corrosion, loose hardware and broken parts.
     (a) If you find damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (SRM) for allowable damage limits and repair procedures or contact United Technologies Aerospace Systems (UTAS) for disposition.
   (3) Examine the latch keeper housing alignment pin, striker bolt and washer on the latch housing for cracks, gouges, corrosion and loose hardware.
     (a) If you find damage, replace the damaged part.
     (b) If you find loose hardware, tighten it (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-820-802).

B. Visually examine the fan cowl door keepers.
   (1) Examine the bolts, washers and nuts that are on the keepers for loose, missing or damaged parts.
     (a) If you find damage, replace the damaged part.
     (b) If you find loose hardware, tighten it (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-21-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-21-400-801).
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
