Subtask 71-13-13-820-054-A A. Check of the Mid Latch Tension
(1) Push the latch handle trigger of the mid latch L2 to open the latch.
(2) Pull the latch handle to the fully open position.
(4) Move the latch handle until the keeper make contact with the housing wall and do a check visually.
(5) Start closing the handle without measuring the load.
(6) Make sure that the keeper translates.
(7) When the keeper movement is stopped, the load must be measured with a GAGE - PUSH-PULL located in the latch handle hole.
(8) Put the GAGE - PUSH-PULL in position at the end of the latch handle hole.
(9) Close the latch slowly with the GAGE - PUSH-PULL and measure the force necessary to fully close the latch handle.
(10) Make sure that the measured force is between 6.1 daN (13.71 lbf) and 7.7 daN (17.31 lbf).
(a) If the force necessary to close the latch is out of the limits, do the adjustment of the latch tension for the fan cowl doors. Refer to step. 4.D.
(11) Do the final check. Refer to step. 4.G.
Subtask 71-13-13-820-058-A (1) Push the latch handle trigger of the mid latch L2 to open the latch.

(3) Make sure that the hook is engaged with its keeper.
