Subtask 71-13-13-941-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
CAUTION: USE YOUR HANDS TO OPERATE THE FAN COWL LATCHES. IF YOU USE SOMETHING DIFFERENT FROM YOUR HANDS TO OPERATE THE LATCHES, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE LATCHES.
   (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):
   (2) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

   (3) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)

   (4) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.
4. Procedure
Subtask 71-13-13-220-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Visual Inspection of the Adjusta-Keepers of the Right-Hand Fan Cowl

PRE SB RA32071-117

   (1) Do a visual inspection of the adjusta_keepers of the right-hand fan cowl as follows:
     (a) Examine the adjusta-keepers for cracks. If any cracks are found, replace the adjusta-keepers (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-13-000-040) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-13-400-040).
     (b) Examine the clevises of the adjusta-keepers for cracks. If any cracks are found, replace the clevises (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-13-000-040) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-13-400-040).
     (c) Make sure that the adjusta-keepers are correctly attached. Tighten or replace the attachment hardware as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-13-000-040) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-13-400-040).
     (d) Clevis use recommendation
CAUTION: DO NOT TURN THE CLEVISES. IF YOU TURN THE CLEVISES, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE HOUSING GUIDE. IF THE GUIDE IS DAMAGED, THE CLEVIS CAN TURN. IF THE CLEVIS CAN TURN, THE CLEVIS CAN NOT ENGAGE CORRECTLY WITH THE LATCH AND CAN KEEP THE LATCH FROM CLOSING CORRECTLY. IF THE LATCHES ARE NOT CLOSED CORRECTLY, THE FAN COWLS CAN OPEN IN FLIGHT.
       1 Make sure that the guides of the adjusta-keepers are not broken and that the clevises will not turn. If the guides are broken or you can turn the clevises, replace the adjusta-keepers (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-13-000-040) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-13-400-040).

   (2) Do a visual inspection of the adjusta-keepers of the right-hand fan cowl as follows:
     (a) Examine the adjusta-keepers for cracks. If any cracks are found, replace the adjusta-keepers (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-13-000-040) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-13-400-040).
     (b) Examine the clevises of the adjusta-keepers for cracks. If any cracks are found, replace the clevises (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-13-000-040) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-13-400-040).
     (c) Make sure that the adjusta-keepers are correctly attached. Tighten or replace the attachment hardware as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-13-000-040) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-13-400-040).

B. Visual Inspection of the Restrainers of the Right-Hand Fan Cowl

   (1) Do a visual inspection of the restrainers of the right-hand fan cowl as follows:
     (a) Examine the restrainers for cracks. If any cracks are found, replace the restrainers.
     (b) Make sure that the restrainers are correctly attached. Tighten or replace the attachment hardware as necessary.

   (6) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
