WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.
CAUTION:
DO NOT EXTEND THE SLATS WHEN THE FAN COWLS AND THE THRUST REVERSER COWLS ARE OPEN. IF YOU DO THIS, DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT CAN OCCUR.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

A. General Visual Inspection of Fan Cowl Door Latches
(1) Do a general visual inspection of:
(3) If you find damage, contact SAFRAN Nacelles.
(4) Make sure that there are no loose or missing fasteners.
(5) If you find loose or missing fasteners, tighten the loose or replace the missing fasteners.
(6) Make sure that there are no signs of corrosion damage up to 150 mm (5.91 in.) around the latch fitting.
(7) If you find corrosion damage, contact SAFRAN Nacelles.
Subtask 71-13-13-210-056-A (1) Do a general visual inspection of:
- Latch Hook
- Handle
- Handle Spring
- Trigger
- Bushing Roller
- Housing Area.
(3) If you find damage, contact SAFRAN Nacelles.
(4) Make sure that there are no loose or missing fasteners.
(5) If you find loose or missing fasteners, tighten the loose or replace the missing fasteners.
(6) Make sure that there are no signs of corrosion damage up to 150 mm (5.91 in.) around the latch fitting.
(7) If you find corrosion damage, contact SAFRAN Nacelles.
B. General Visual Inspection of Fan Cowl Door Keepers
(1) Do inspection of the fan cowl door keepers (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-13-210-802).
5. Close-up(1) Do inspection of the fan cowl door keepers (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-13-210-802).

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):
