Subtask 71-13-11-941-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

4. Procedure
Subtask 71-13-11-210-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Do a visual inspection of the fan cowl doors for mismatch at the air intake cowl.

INSPECT/CHECK	MAXIMUM SERVICEABLE LIMITS	REMARKS
1.Examine the Outer Barrel to fan cowl door for mismatch.
A.Outer Barrel to fan cowl	Positive step: 70 percent + 0.040 in. (+ 1 mm) 30 percent +0.060 in. (+ 1.5 mm) At one location + 0.070 in. (+ 1.8 mm)	These are the preferred measurements.
	Negative step: 70 percent -0.060 in. (-1.5 mm) 30 percent -0.075 in. (-1.9 mm)
	Between positive 0.040 in. (1 mm) and positive 0.060 in. (1.5 mm) or negative 0.060 in. (1.5 mm)	If the mismatch is more than positive maximum serviceable limit, measure the fan cowls at 10 equal distances. Add the 10 measurements and divide the total by ten. If the average positive mismatch is less than 0.060 in. (1.5 mm) and no measurement is more than 0.160 in. (4.06 mm), it is acceptable for flight, if steps 1 and 2 are done: 1. All locations with an into the wind positive step mismatch of more than 0.060 in. (1.5 mm) must be repaired SRM 540205. 2. If, at one location only, the mismatch is large but not more than positive 0.160 in. (4.06 mm) you must adjust the fan cowl door (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-800-040) or you must do the repair for mismatch SRM 541000, Repair n°18. If the average positive step mismatch is more than 0.060 in. (1.5 mm) or there is more than one location with a positive step mismatch greater than 0.160 in. (4.06 mm) then replace the fan cowl door (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-000-040) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-400-040). Do avisual inspection of the fan cowl doors to check for mismatch at the air intake cowl. 2. If, at one location only, the mismatch is large but not more than positive 0.160 inch (4.06 mm) you must adjust the fan cowl door (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-800-040) or you must do the repair for mismatch (Ref. SRM 54-10-00 Repair 18). If the average positive step mismatch is more than 0.060 inch (1.5 mm) or there is more than one location with a positive step mismatch greater than 0.160 inch (4.06 mm) then replace the fan cowl door (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-000-040) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-400-040).
