4. Procedure(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.

(2) Remove thePU2-0001 alcohol, isopropyl with a clean lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) before the PU2-0001 alcohol, isopropyl becomes dry.
Subtask 71-13-11-220-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(1) Clean the fan cowl latches, the attachment hardware and the adjacent structure with a clean lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) and (2) Remove the
B. Visually examine the fan cowl door latches.
(1) Use the MIRROR - INSPECTION and MAGNIFYING GLASS POWER 10X and examine the fan cowl door latches. Look for cracks, gouges, corrosion and broken parts. If you find damage, replace the latch (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-000-805) (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-400-805).
(2) Examine the attachment hardware as follows:
(a) Use the MIRROR - INSPECTION and MAGNIFYING GLASS POWER 10X and examine the bolts, washer and nuts on the latches. Look for loose, missing or damaged parts. If you find damage, replace the damaged part (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-000-805) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-400-805).
(b) Make sure that the bolts, washers and nuts are correctly attached. Tighten or replace the part as necessary.
(3) Use the MIRROR - INSPECTION and MAGNIFYING GLASS POWER 10X and examine the structure adjacent to the latches. Look for dents, cracks, gouges, corrosion or wear.
(a) If you find corrosion damage, repair or replace the damaged component parts SRM 512200 or contact United Technologies, Aerospace Systems West.
(b) If you find other damage, look for damage limits and corrective action SRM 541400 or contact United Technologies, Aerospace Systems West.
5. Close-up(1) Use the MIRROR - INSPECTION and MAGNIFYING GLASS POWER 10X and examine the fan cowl door latches. Look for cracks, gouges, corrosion and broken parts. If you find damage, replace the latch (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-000-805) (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-400-805).
(2) Examine the attachment hardware as follows:
(a) Use the MIRROR - INSPECTION and MAGNIFYING GLASS POWER 10X and examine the bolts, washer and nuts on the latches. Look for loose, missing or damaged parts. If you find damage, replace the damaged part (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-000-805) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-400-805).
(b) Make sure that the bolts, washers and nuts are correctly attached. Tighten or replace the part as necessary.
